You can't really go wrong with a homemade balsamic vinaigrette. The stuff they sell in the bottles at the store usually doesn't use real olive oil and I don't think it tastes as good. It is relatively healthy and keeps pretty well. Sprinkle a little feta cheese on there too.
I know its part ranch, but chick fil a has an awesome avocado lime ranch dressing that you might want to try.
I keep a bottle of italian dressing around the house for marinade, but never put it on a salad. Tried it tonight and not bad at all. Ken's steakhouse shiznizzle lite is on the shopping list.
Best homemade honey-mustard ever: 3/4 c extra virgin olive oil 1/4 c red wine vinegar 1 tbs balsamic 1/3 c honey 1/4 c whole grain dijon mustard 2 tbs chopped fresh tarragon 1 tbs chopped fresh thyme 2 garlic cloves, pressed or chopped fine 2 small shallots, chopped 1/2 tsp each: kosher salt & fresh black pepper Put in jar, screw lid on, shake, enjoy! Great on salad and great on grilled chicken.
Briannas Blush Wine Vinaigrette with the strawberry on the label is awesome. Ken's Raspberry Walnut is also really good.
I know it's still Ranch, but Hidden Valley offers many different flavors....Spicy Ranch, Bacon Ranch, Avocado Ranch...but my personal favorite is the Jalapeno Ranch at Jason's Deli. Ken's Ceasars is pretty damn good too.
A good ranch is Krogers Simply Truth ranch with garlic and dill. That dill comes through real nice. Also Ive been mixing my own with balsamic vinegar, olive oil, salt, dijon mustard, sugar and black pepper.
Don't have Krogers down here in the RGV anymore. I need to stop by the Kroger's in College Station next time I go up to pick up my son.
