Right; and their reward is (likely) losing 2 of their top 4 offensive players. That would be acceptable to you?...

And they last had a winning record when, exactly?.....

Do they? They traded for Peters and..........?

The Pats are on a different plane than every other team in football - but those moves do bite them. Josh Gordon certainly didn't work out.

What, exactly, did he say that you disagree with?...

Name "all" of these "good" LTs/CBs that apparently flooded the market. And while listing them, think about your next statement below and how you'd feel dumping bundles of cash on mediocre-to-good (but not great) players.

They were 11-5 last year.... I feel like some of you must drown in crazy pills. They won 11; lost 5: that is very good. They have a franchise QB. They have a franchise WR. They have two of the 50 best players in football on their defense.

You guys are acting like the Texans are the 2008 Astros, or something.

They went 11-5 with a very easy schedule and a few wins that easily could have been loses. They were flat going into the playoffs and predictably were not even competitive against a mediocre Colts team.

Do you really think they go 11-5 next year with the harder schedule? Last year did you ever think they were a threat to get to the conference title game? Did you REALLY ever think they were going to win a playoff game?

They are wasting Hopkins, soon enough Watson will need to pay (not to mention some in the NFL believing Watson isn’t being utilized properly), Watt is a year older and Clowney is either gone or over paid.

The Texans are not the worst in the NFL but there is no real reason to think things are getting a lot better either.

Most telling part “The only way you get fired as a Texans coach is to go 2-14”

They also had a few losses that could've been wins (Philadelphia; bad timing on Titans & Giants). You don't win 9 in a row without some luck; you also don't win 9 in a row if you're mediocre.

You're predicting a harder schedule in (checks calendar) March? Lemme know how that prediction holds up...

Yes. They were two minutes away from (likely) clinching a bye in the first round of the playoffs and hosting a second round playoff game.

"Wasting".... Hopkins has been to the playoffs three of the last four years.

Jesus christ... They won 11 games, what? Three months ago? And you think you need to qualify them as "not the worst in the NFL"?.........

There's exactly ONE team not stuck in no man's land: the New England Patriots.

People *think* there are all these *better* teams: show me. When was the last time Kansas City or Indianapolis or Pittsburgh made a Super Bowl? What, because you *think* they're better that elevates them to a higher plane?..... No. That's not how it works. That's just fan perception, which is meaningless. You don't get bonus points because you *think* your team could win a Super Bowl.

At the end of the day, Kansas City won exactly one more playoff game than the Texans last year; year before that, they won the same number.

    Soon enough Deshaun
    Previously JJ, Andre, Arian
and one day they will gather around telling stories how the Texans wasted each of their careers. ;)

(...but but but they've been to playoffs 5 times, beating Andy Dalton & Matt McGloin Connor Cook!)

Seeing how the Texans don’t like to overpay in free agency, they should sign Chris Hogan. He would be a great backup in case fuller gets injured again.

    He’s a very underrated player.

Is it a coincidence that Odell was out at end of year and he played better? Giants started running more and throwing more short routes which would once again inflate his stats and make him seem better than he was.

Yes, wasting Hopkins career. The Texans have never been a threat since he was been a Texan. The Texans were a half away from a bye? Okay.... at any point did you think the Texans had a chance of being a threat in the playoffs? I sure didn’t and Vegas didn’t. In fact, if not for Carr getting hurt, the Texans wouldn’t even have a playoff victory under BOB.

Yeah the Texans are a mediocre team, a mediocre franchise and the fans are sick of the complacency. Going to the playoffs and losing without any real chance to be a factor doesn’t really mean much.

Would you be surprised if the Chiefs won the Super Bowl next year?

U are downplaying every other team's success in playoffs, the Chiefs are the superior team, they fought hard against the Patriots and got screwed over in Overtime. Out of all the playoff teams in the first round, we scored only 7 points in an elimination match against the Colts. How can u sit there behind the keyboard and argue that we are actually good? We won 9 in a row during REGULAR SEASON, that means jack sht if we got bounce scoring only 7 points. We ARE FKING GARBAGE who the fk cares about making it into playoffs if we are going to get repeatedly embarrassed by superior coaching.

I am honestly tired of fans like u defending BOB when he's one of the most infuriating coach to watch. 5 years already and there hasn't been any improvement on his end.

Your way of thinking where can be only one winner and the rest are losers, based on their success at the superbowl, is very black and white. I am sure u wouldn't group the browns and the texans in the same tier?

I don't even consider winning the AFC South Crown a success anymore, if it means watching my team get sht on everytime in the playoffs. Hell maybe if we kept the game close and respectable, I would like BOB more, but to come out and get sht on every single time in playoffs under his command is stupid as hell.

The fans don’t seem sick of it, selling the place out every game every year.
