I dont understand how people praising jon Jones on social media, the guy is a ****ing fraud and a cheater and he is the worst example for the sport
What I thought too until I listened to Roe Hogan’s podcast where he had that one dude who talks to usada. Turns out Jones fat has been storing some of whatever he took two years ago. The amount is so little it’s comparable to a grain of salt (literally). He wasn’t a cheat tonight.
He is still probably greatest mma fighter of all time. At least I would put him on the same tier as GSP, Silva, and Johnson. DC is talking so much **** about JJ, but he wants to fight Brock who probably the biggest juicer there is? DC just realizes he can't beat JJ, but he can beat Brock. JJ actually had strategy and he executed it. Look at Cyborg who was considered a GOAT in women's MMA. She literally just went in just swinging wildly with no respect for her opponent. I don't think steroids make you smarter.
People like him use Jesus/Christianity/Church/Bible as a way to keep them from hitting rock bottom (Dwight Howard is another example). All of the moral issues he's had in his personal and professional life demonstrate how flawed he is despite the superior gifts and talents he's been blessed with.
No doubt, natural skill plus doping makes him unstoppable - he needs to move up to heavyweight and fight DC. Gus hasn't been the same since Rumble nearly knocked his skull into the first row - he didn't do anything last night.
What makes Jones so great is that he's one of the greatest athletes to compete in the UFC who also happens to be talented at MMA. If there was more money in fighting in the UFC, we wouldn't even be talking about him... We'd have so many more super athletes who would be even more dominant than Jones. Can you imagine a guy like LeBron training his whole life to be mixed martial artist (assuming he has a knack for it)? He'd be unstoppable. But the reality is that the true cream of the crop athletes do not choose fighting as a career path.
Jon's brothers were/ are in the NFL - Jon actually looks uncoordinated doing anything other than MMA which is somewhat odd. The video of him trying to play basketball is particularly funny - side note: his brother Arthur got popped for PEDs. The Greg Hardy experiment is interesting because he is a true 260 pound elite athlete, but he's just learning the sport in his late 20s. So far he has mowed through everyone he's faced on athletic ability alone - his first fight in the UFC is not far off.
Speak of the devil... _______ Greg Hardy vs. Allen Crowder gets co-main event slot at UFC on ESPN+ 1 in Brooklyn https://mmajunkie.com/2018/12/greg-...-ufc-on-espn-plus-1-brooklyn-rachael-ostovich
Now imagine if this Greg Hardy had started training MMA when he was 15. That's another Jon Jones (if not better).
Looks like Greg Hardy just got himself disqualified for kneeing a downed opponent. Shocker that he couldn't follow the rules....
That wasn’t expected. I’m not sure why TJ went down so many times, didn’t look like Henry landed a lot of clean shots but there will be a rematch.
