Which team is your ideal first-round opponent for the Rockets?

A big concern of mine is last year we kicked butt in the first two rounds largely due to Capela dominating Karl and Rudy.

I’m not sure how different a series will go if Rudy or Nurkic or less likely, Adams, outplay Clint. And it’s not that I’m doubting Clint, but it’s not unrealistic to think those guys can have a better series.

Would love to catch the Warriors in the first round...I dunno, it seems like longer the playoffs go on the more likely CP3 is going to go down. Take them down early while we're healthy. I would take a CP3-less team vs any other team and feel like we'd have a damn good shot...just not vs. the Warriors.

 

Good point. He would have extra motivation facing his old team too.I was thinking about keeping Pop away from D’Antoni. I could be wrong but I think Pop is still undefeated vs MDA. Pop still scares me.

Who is their best player? No star on that team, just a bunch of hard board role players. Teams like that don't do well in postseason when everyone shortens their rotation.

Easily the Spurs. Derozan has been really bad in the playoffs as most people know and Harden has been a Spurs killer his entire career.

I want nothing to do with the Clippers honestly. Too many Ex-rockets that will take that series as their championship and Bev won't be on our side. We also have not played well against them really so yeah...

 

I want the Spurs. I want revenge for 2017, and I would love to see what kind of defensive scheme Pop will use to guard Harden. That's can help us get more prepared to counter opposing teams' strategies to defend Harden.

I still see our easiest out as the Nuggets. I don’t see that series going more than 5. They just don’t matchup well against us at all.
