https://www.basketball-reference.com/teams/NYK/2009.html If you take a look at that roster. If they would of just held on to that team, and developed there players, and stayed healthy. They could of added 1-2 vet pieces maybe to that team and got to the finals few years.... Just look at the team. The top 2 were bonfied allstars C - David Lee PF - Zack Randolf SF - Wilson Chandler / Danilo Gallinari SG - Jamal Crawford PG - Nate Robinson If they could of gotten Jason Kidd to come NY, 4 years before and holding on to that team, and maybe as well as Marion for that vet leadership, instead of them 2 signing in dallas, wonder what would of happen. I think Mike D took the job late, but would of gotten them two to sign for cheap in ny if he knew he was coaching there forehand in the previous offseason. What do you think?
No East team would have gotten past a LeBron-led Cavs team or that Boston team with the big 3 + Rondo.
This same team in Denver was a 3 seed. If Denver had that team with a Melo and stat that would be atleast a finals team or ECF team due to Miami/Boston superpowers
Would've and could've are contractions for "would have" and "could have." Would of and could of are grammatically incorrect. I wouldn't have corrected you, but you did this six times in your post. If you're still in school, then correct this habit now. I'm not trying to be rude... it just catches my eye when people do this.
Zach Randolph was terrible as a Knick. That lineup may look good to you on paper, but Randolph was total ass, and he didn’t really redeem himself until he got to the Grizzlies.
lol...I really hope this thread isn’t serious the Knicks fcked up because Melo was too impatient to wait a couple of months to go to the Knicks in free agency so they wouldn’t have had to give up their whole team for him...oh, and the Amare signing was a bust the Knicks FO wasn’t capable of making good decisions, so please don’t ever talk about finals appearances with that franchise
Ya everyone says that team blows, but you get someone like nash, kidd running that team they could of competed, but they would need like a star probably. There 5 players there that could avg 20 ppg i think, You add just Nash or Kidd to that and even throw in a sub allstar, they could have won a title. I dont know how the money was, they might not had alot to put towards a allstar, but they could of gotten maybe Andre Iguodala when he was a free agent for the sixers. Get that team to jell for 3-4 years, and not have traded for melo.
