He's actually not. He shot really well the first 2 months and then cratered. If he's the team's best defender, why do the Rockets have a better defensive rating when he's off the court? I'm sure it's not the case when he's at the 3, but it is what it is. Rockets defensive rating with Tucker on the court: 110.7 Rockets defensive rating with Tucker off the court: 107.4
He shot 40+% in the playoffs and was our best defender. His shot has catered because hes asked to guard teams best players night in and night out and is the only who hustles on D every night. It was the same thing with Ariza. That net rating doesnt mean much when he's been playing the highest minutes of his career and hasnt missed a game yet. He hasnt been perfect but alot his asked of him on D and its unfair criticism imo.
WOW that's a big endorsement! GG is a terrible starter by the way. I knew Gary was good. Interesting Harden and CP had to force MDA to go big.
Gary went into a deep shooting funk. Then there was the game when he had 4 deleterious possessions in a row. I thought we would never see him again. it took 3 injuries and James Harden and CP telling MDA to play him to get Gary minutes.
House has become the most overrated player around here since dmo. He should start over tucker? Ya right. That’s insane. They guy is what 25 and hasn’t even played 50 nba game? He had a nice 10 game run when harden was going beast mode. I don’t even know what to take or his performance because of how great harden was in that stretch. Is he that guy or is he the guy that just scored 4 points in a GLeague game?
I went to the Austin Spurs v Rio Grande Valley Vipers game tonight in Cedar Park and sat right behind the Viper/Rockets bench. While they were warming up I yelled at House, "Hey Danuel, you need to sign that contract. We need you!" He looked over at me, grimaced, and shook his head four or five times muttering "nah, man." In other news, Hartenstein works hard. House is the real deal.
why the hell are ppl mentioning house in a gary clark thread, getting sick of seeing house in every thread
Makes sense to play the most inexperienced player with the unit that makes things the most simple for him .
I think this should be the reason, Rivers and Green has experienced much more, so they should be fine by themselves
