What!!.... This team has what... THREE open roster spots. Shumpert is hurt from the rigors of the All-Star Break. We have to play PJ Tucker almost 40 minutes a game. We just traded our starting SF. CP3, EG, and Capela are all coming back from injuries & CP3/EG are playing meh anyways.

That would be maybe the dumbest excuse of many dumb excuses Tillman has been making over the past week or so. If you have a pulse you should be able to get minutes on this team.

So what are you saying exactly? Is this still in regards to Markieff? Could it simply be that Markieff had the same offer from us and chose the Thunder?

I'm trying to figure out how TF lied...

I can't get into the head of Markieff to know why he made the decision he did, but I do know that if he made it because of Playing Time, that is bull crap. Either TF is lying or TF/Morey really really botched their pursuit by making it seem as though this team is so loaded with healthy talent that they couldn't guarantee him a key role.

That would be complete malfeasance and question how serious they really wanted him in the first place IF they really did run that line with Markieff and his agent. They know damn well they have all the minutes an NBA player with a pulse can handle. Just look at how valuable DANUEL HOUSE is to this team now that even he is gone.

I know I'm going to seem like TF hater here, but my hunch is they were never that serious about signing him or a real high value buyout right now anyways, and they prefer the 10 day contracts at the last possible minute in order to save as much as they can.

Not going to disagree because it's pretty subjective, but I will say that their goal is simply to stay under luxury tax line, not "save as much as possible"... semantics really

Here is what's left and what we can still wait on:

Veterans who have been bought out or released and are free agents:
    Alex Abrines, G/F / Carmelo Anthony, F / Omri Casspi, F * / Marcin Gortat, C
Ben McLemore, G / Greg Monroe, C / Zach Randolph, C / Milos Teodosic, G:(Not expected to sign this season)
Note: Players marked with an asterisk were injured at the time of their release.

Other candidates WHO MIGHT be bought out or released:
Ryan Anderson, F (Heat) / Jerryd Bayless, G (Timberwolves) / Dragan Bender, F/C (Suns) / Vince Carter, F (Hawks)
Troy Daniels, G (Suns) / Dewayne Dedmon, C (Hawks) / Channing Frye, F/C (Cavaliers) / Pau Gasol, C (Spurs)
DeAndre Jordan, C (Knicks) / Frank Kaminsky, F/C (Hornets) / Kosta Koufos, C (Kings) / Robin Lopez, C (Bulls)
    J.R. Smith, G (Cavaliers) / Jason Smith, F/C (Pelicans) / Anthony Tolliver, F (Timberwolves)

From the already free agent list, maybe Gortat or Monroe, House for the 3yr/4.2 only salary.
From the MIGHT list maybe Jordan/Lopez/JR/Bayless (long shots to be bought out.)

Still no one signed? Cause i'm a free agent willing to sign a 10 day contract eventually, wouldn't even ask to get paid if i can at least hang out with James and PJ for few days :D

Why people are so upset we aren't adding people to our roster that will not play when playoffs arrive?

    CP3
    Harden
    Gordon
    Tucker
    Capela

    Bench
    Rivers
    Shumpert
    Faried

This is what we are rolling with.

Somebody up top said we would have dibs on free agents and buyouts setting the expectations really high.
