Skips commentary ranks up there with the hometown guy at the bar or other nondescript neighborhood hangout. Example: Chicago. "Our pizza is better than New York's and Jim McMahon is the best qb of all time!". Example. Miami. "Dan Marino has more championships than Joe Montana".

 

There might have been truth to skip had he said Tim Duncan was better than dream. Maybe, kinda sorta!

Skip is pushing 90 and has been around long enough and watched enough basketball to know that Manu is not in the same realm of greatness that the Dream is. Skip is an entertainer, that is all.
