IMHO, the Texans should draft players with so called character issues. They have only professionals in the locker room. Most of the time that professionalism can rub off onto bad characters. So please let Greedy slip right into our greedy little hands. Tyrann will get his mind right.
At this point I am almost convinced that CB should be our 1st pick. The 4 guys on my radar now are Greedy, Baker, Murphy and Layne. With Layne being my favorite. All worthy of a 1st round pick. There's also the possibility of grabbing players like David Long and/or Juan Thornhill in the 4th/5th rounds.
Think Ford would still be the best OT prospect available if he were to somehow fall into the 2nd. Hell at worst you're getting the best OG prospect which wouldn't be horrible. All the guaranteed has been paid out on Kelemete's deal and Fulton will be paid out after this season. Cutting Kelemete would actually save us $2.5M but better idea would be to keep him and if he gets beat out, you move him back to that 6th man role that he thrived in NO. Still think they need to bring in a OT via FA. Posted in the offseason thread that they really need to reset on Rankin. His injury set him back big time and thought they did him a huge disservice throwing him in at LT without having taken a preseason snap. Then benching him for 10 weeks to start him at another position.

And Dillard, a three-year starter at Washington State, is one of the best pass protectors in this class. He could slot in at left or right tackle for Houston, and Deshaun Watson would be thrilled. Dillard (6-5, 305) was one of the stars of the Senior Bowl. I wouldn't be surprised if Houston took multiple linemen early in this draft, and it has two second-round picks to try to improve. 24. Him getting beat like a drum by Hunter Renfrow at SB practice is pretty concerning. That's exactly the opposite of what we need from a 1st round CB against the likes of TY Hilton, JuJu Smith-Schuster, Tyreke Hill and Julian Edelman's that we'll most likely be seeing in the playoffs.
I'm all for picking CB in the first round if the top offensive lineman are gone. What about Joejuan Williams? Has there been any talk about him on here? I saw Todd McShay's mock a week or two ago that had the Texans drafting him.
The Athletic's Dane Brugler ranked LSU CB Greedy Williams as his No. 1 cornerback prospect for the spring. "Overall, Williams lacks ideal bulk and play strength," Brugler writes, "but his athleticism, length and play personality allow him to blanket receivers in man coverage, projecting as a starting NFL cornerback with Pro Bowl upside." The 6-foot-2, 182-pounder is a probable Day 1 pick and has a good shot of being the first corner selected come April, though Byron Murphy and (to lesser degree) Deandre Baker could potentially play spoiler in terms of how the position breaks. When Bleacher Report's Matt Miller asked an NFC pro scout about Ole Miss T Gregory Little, the scout responded, "Oof...this guy is just bad." "I don't know what to tell you. He doesn't move well enough to play left. He's too lazy," the scout said, adding that he "laughs" when he sees Little mocked into the first round. An NFC area scout echoed this sentiment, telling Miller, "he was just never that good (to warrant the high draft talk)." While the 6-foot-6, 325-pounder can't be ruled out for a Day 1 selection, he is going to need to perform well at the NFL Scouting Combine given some of the heat that's clearly on him at this juncture.
