Currently Harden is blowing 2016 currys season out of the water. Kids in youth basketball are emulating hardens game. The current Rookie of the year emulates hardens game. WHY CHANGE

The truth is the only way to beat the warriors is to limit possesions and you can only do that with ISOLATION BASKETBALL. Thats how lebron and kyrie beat them in 2016.

You are not gonna outpace the warriors in an up and down game. They will run you out of the building. The Rockets are 10-5 againist the warriors since cp3 got here. Iso basketball is what nuetralizes ball motion teams. Its a proven FACT

Also Harden and CP3 are probably the best iso scorers based on effiency in the last 20 years. Why would you ask them to play different, just because you dont like watching it, doesnt mean they should stop. The NBA TV ratings are not suffering because James Harden and iso basketball, they are suffering because last years western confernce finals was the most watched playoff series in cable history and was decided by horrible officiating. I dont even follow the rest of the NBA like i used to because of how that series ended, if harden was not having this great year my instrest in the NBA would be zilch

Also isnt it intresting that curry and bud hate iso basketball but love it when LeBron does it, Harden is just an easy target. Its like asking curry and klay to handle the ball and beat people of the dribble. most of the game, thats what they were trying to do under marc jackson. Hardens game exploded under a new coach just like Currys game exploded under Kerr

James Harden if you are listening to me, plz do not fall for this bullshit. The warriors and the rest of the NBA are threatned by your game, if you were lightskinned they would be praising you

Lord, some guys act like the sky is falling. If he had 4 Allstar Starters surrounding him, then of course he plays differently. Then it would be like Team USA. Everybody would agree with him and say the same. It is not a knock on MDA or Morey.

In case you haven't noticed we aren't winning games doing this. It's frustrating for Harden to have to score 50 points a game because everyone is ibjured or just sucks

we just need some more weapons. outside of capela and harden which player on this team is playing at the same level as last year

 

Harden is not gonna run around screens on the court like curry. He is a solid 225 and 6'5, neither is chris paul due to age. Iso basketball is what we play and we currently have the 2nd best offense in the nba with our style

its the defense that is worrisome, nene should be cut, and we can get somebody of the scrap heap like brandon wright

 

Given who Curry is with his personality and knowing how the GS locker room is with bickering and back stabbing, I personally think all that happened here was Harden was just trying to downplay his success in front of all other all stars. He said something along the lines of, “I wish we didn’t have to play this style and could play more team ball, but the stats show it’s our best chance of winning” and Curry is just being all dramatic about it.

Also MDA can coach any type of offense. He ran like three completely different types just during his own season at LA. At the end of the season when Kobe went down he switched to high/low offense and they did really well with Gasol in the corner.

Get some players over 6 foot 4 and MDA might actually be able to change to offense. I don’t think he’s stubborn about it at all.

I think the problem is the inability to feel the need to bring in real role players. That will frustrate the hell out of Harden and get him out of town much quicker than MDA’s system. Cheap b*stard maneuvers and leaving 3 roster spots open for no damn reason other than lining the pockets of the owner is the ultimate sign of disrespect to an MVP in his prime and that cheap owner deserves a frustrated MVP.

The confirmation bias is extreme with the anti 3 guys.

They go balisitic after every miss and give no thought to the huge leads we gain and the comebacks we make with the analytical 3 ball approach.

Last year never happened in the eyes of the “all these 3s are dumb” crowd. In fact none of the amazing offensive seasons that we consistently put up never really happened or count because sometimes we blow a big lead( like every team does) and couldn’t take out the super warriors.

Don’t make excuses guys. If anything this is harden being smart. He knows the path the rockets are on right now is not a good one. Just like everyone else.

This is funny. Harden plenty times haults the offense so he can go iso. He CHOOSES to play that way because it'll make his statline look good. I'm pretty sure MDA would love to have more movement. Would Harden accept 10-12 less shots while his scoring average dropping to 25pt?

it’s true, but his real issue is that his 3 point shooting declines down to Westbrook levels in the postseason...with the way he’s been knocking down these tough stepback threes this season, I’m hoping this is the year he can maintain his regular season 3 point shooting in the playoffs
