Truth of the matter: 1. We don't have a true backup point right now. The best we have is Austin Rivers, that didn't play last night. 2. We need Chris ready for the playoffs, so going all out on a possibly sore hamstring right now makes no sense. 3. The REAL off-season is RIGHT NOW. This is where teams put together their championship run team, or at least we do. After the ASG expect the Rockets to start working on gelling on defense with whomever we end up getting (I'm still praying for Morris and House) with the Capella and Rivers (hopefully with a healthy elbow) and we should be just fine. All 4 of these guys bring length (rebounding) that we didn't have last night. 4.Remember all we need is at least an 8 seed with a fully health team, and we'll be ready for the second season we call playoffs. We learned that last year, a healthy veteran team beats a hot team any day of the week.
He didn’t even torched by Schroeder; that was only a few possessions. No one our team could guard Teague last night and it’s been that way for awhile. God you don’t know anything
Then he should 'coast' on the bench, because his 'coasting' is contagious. When he isn't in games 'coasting', others are actually playing. This is why we win games when Paul sits and lose games that Paul plays. Fact is Paul is trying on defense, anyone watching the games can see that. His positioning is awful, I don't know what happened to him.. something drastic, maybe the hit from Rondo earlier in the year messed with him because Paul has lost his defensive ability and Paul has somehow lost his voice.
I noticed we don't win as many games without all of our big 3 playing and in good health. We miss Capela bad.
I noticed Teague got the switch he wanted every time - most times, it was off CP and onto Faried. PJ got burned a couple times by Teague and so did Shump. CP wasn't getting burned by Teague throughout the game as the OP suggests. A more worrying trend would be our 3rd or 4th person on the defensive rotation. Laziness throughout the game is letting no-names catch fire, so we see Teague burning us to end the game. The laziness is on EVERYONE except Tuck and Shump who still seems to figuring out his role defensively on our team.
I don’t know what game you were watching but he was getting torched and it forced the coach to switch Gordon on Schroder . Last night the whole world saw Teague torch him.
