    GS vs Bucks (advantage GS)
    76ers vs Rockets (advantage 76ers)
    Raptors vs Nuggets (advantage Raptors)
    Celtics vs Thunder (advantage Celtics)

A guy who was born in 1924 said that East top-4 has never been better than the west in the nba.

2014–2018 — San Antonio and Golden State and Oklahoma City and Houston for the West, while the East’s only real recourse was the Cavs. At any rate, advantage: West

2011–2013 — Miami for the East, and then Dallas, San Antonio, OKC for the West Advantage: West. Because if Miami doesn’t win, whoever goes in there instead loses in the Finals.

2005–2010- San Antonio and LA and Phoenix for the West, Boston and old Detroit for the East. Advantage: West.

2000–2004 — Lakers and Spurs for the West, New Jersey for the East. West again.

1991–2000 — Bulls kick all ass, with the Knicks and Orlando the only ones who could put a dent…Phoenix, Seattle, UTAH, Houston, San Antonio…

1980–1990 — Celtics and Pistons and maybe Atlanta and Milwaukee versus Showtime, the Twin Towers in Houston, young Utah, and explosive Dallas and Denver. Once again, advantage west.

It just means he knew the history of nba.

76ers are better than Rockets in everything except shooting guard.

well #1 is so far ahead of everybody it doesn't matter. Last years Rockets were also way better than anybody the east has to offer.

Your opinion of the east is inflated by their fake bloated records. The bottom of that conference is a trash heap . Eastern conference teams play each team in the east 3-4 times while the west only 2 times.

What are you basing this claim, and your argument, off of? In terms of season series, so far:

    DEN leads TOR, 2-0
    BOS leads OKC, 2-0
    PHI leads HOU, 1-0
    GS tied with MIL, 1-1

So you're right half the time. I feel like you cherry picked, and just made a random claim. I can do that too.

    HOU leads TOR, 1-0
    OKC leads MIL, 1-0
    SAS leads TOR, 1-0

lol @ the 1 and 2 seeds in the East, amirite? 0-3 against teams in the WC that don't even have HCA at the time of this post?

Point is, need more research before coming out with such a claim.

    No.

The top 4 teams in the East are middle dwellers in the West.

Except maybe Philly, who are very legit and are a coach away from sweeping the East. Look at what happened to Milwaukee once they added Budenholzer (if that's how you spell it)

They arent. Cant speak for Philly prior to the trade deadline, however Boston after November, and the other two would be top4 teams in the West.

The East was easily more top heavy in the 80s. Many years, 4 out of 5 best teams were arguably in the East - Celtics, 76ers, Bucks, Pistons for the most part

1980-1987, The West was pretty mediocre between 81-87. I think there's only two season where team finished with 50 or more wins, besides LA. That's pretty bad, that's when was pretty weak as whole, I think SA won 35 games one year and reached the playoffs.

The East had perennial contenders in Boston, Philly, and Milwaukee. Then, around 85, Detroit, Chicago, Cleveland, and Atlanta started to enter fray. The Knicks would show flashes at times. Even, later in the decade from about 86 to 90, if you erase LA and Detroit, I'd pick the East to win most of those championships with MJ's Bulls (ring count is pushed 8 or 9), Boston (ends 4 to 6), while Cleveland and Atlanta potentially eek out one title.
