He did ok, he cleaned up his mess. He finally rid himself of all traces of Anderson, he got rid of everyone he signed last summer and if you look at it in a vacuum he traded Chriss, Knight, Ennis and MCW for Shump, Rivers, Faried and House, that doesn't suck. Would sill love to get Beas and Kanter
I think it's called dealing with reality. If there are no big deals possible to put you over the Raptors/Bucks/Warriors what can you do? Hopefully we get maybe one more piece in the buy out market, bring House and see what happens.
Excellent post. But be careful because, as you can see, that type of rational objectivity bumps right up against CF's well established determination to b**** and whine about any and everything.
Because you'd surely have said no to 40 million dollars per year for the good of the franchise. You are so noble and pure.
We have a "Puncher's Chance" at beating everyone. Morey has secured Tilman's financial security which is needed to pay CP3 the rest of his contract. Everyone wins!
We finally got out of the burden of Anderson's contract. I don't want to b too negative, but if Cp3 contributions dramatically decreased i don't see how Morey is going to rid of that contract. All in all we got rid of every single garbage player that couldn't contributed while sacrificing picks that probably wouldn't pan out anyways especially since we are in win-now mode. Made owner happy: check Under Tax threshold: check Got rid of garbage players w/ sht contract: check Gain players that could contribute: check Made harden happy: unsure beat the warriors: to b realistic there wasn't much Morey could have done with the resources/assets he had to grab a player that will improve us that drastically. (we managed to almost beat them with basically this roster) For those who are saying Morey sucks, he legit tried to trade away the Rockets future (four fking first round picks) for butler and got rejected. What more do you want the man to do? If a shtty/dysfunctional organization like the Wolves rejected 4 1st round picks, how the hell is Morey going to trade with any competent GMs?
Demarcus Cousins is the slowest, weakest pick and roll defender in the League, there are stats for this. Capela has destroyed Cousins in the past just by outrunning him for easy fast break points, bothering him in the post, Outrebounding Demarcus. James Harden always played pick and roll with Clint, with Demarcus guarding Harden. Harden always gets a layup going right by Demarcus, or a open shot.
Jimmy Butler - not available, Anthony Davis - not available what other star player were moved honestly Kristaps Porzingis is still recovering from surgery, out for the year - he is not healthy, or in shape. Ivica Zubac I feel can be a All Star, but Lakers might not want to trade with Rockets, Beasley was attached to Zubac
Can you please leave this thread and go back to wherever all you whiny b****es normally hangout? Thanks
Morey did a decent job of cleaning up his mistakes. This deadline was all about fixing the lingering effects from his horrendous Ryan Anderson contract, and his horrendous offseason where every player he picked up was an absolute bust. Thats the truth.
over CP's entire NBA career, he's earned $222.4 MILLION. yes, if im that f*cking rich, im old, and a championship is the only thing left on my bucket list then um... yea id take a pay cut cause clearly its not an issue.
Sure he did great with what he had to deal with, but it is just disheartening a bit that he’s wasting the best season Harden will ever have! Take risks for crying out loud!!
By saving money now allows Tilman to go harder over the next 3 seasons. Thats pretty much what it comes down too.
Not just Tilman. There's just more flexibility in general. There's a hard apron and stuff to think about.
We did, Morey fking tried to give up 4 first round picks to the fking Wolves and got rejected. I ask u if a dysfunctional organization like the Wolves rejected our offer, what competent GM is willing to deal with us?
