Not saying Lonzo is a better player, but he has the potential to be one of the best defensive-wing players in the league.

Lonzo is already better last year Lonzo got bashed for being one of the worst shooters in the league this year people keep saying Trae Young is the next Curry when he is shooting even worse smh. This is no contest except for people who have a man crush on Young based on what he did during college.

    3 game sample size lolz.

He is still shooting 29.5% from 3 which I guess is an improvement from before.

Trae Young is looking better. He's a decent enough passer and his potential as a scorer is there. His points per shot right now is better than D'Angelo Russell's and people are acting like Russell is having some kind of turnaround season. He was given the green light to use game time as practice time, so I'm actually kind of impressed he is not worse than this.

Solid piece for the Hawks future. Almost as effective as Donovan Mitchell's rookie season, and I have to wonder how much better Young would look if he were playing for a solid coach with a solid team like Mitchell.

Trae seems like he only shoots going to his right. I think Lonzo is a better player currently, but Young has more upside because we don't really know what he is capable of. For the Rockets, I would rather have Lonzo. Bigger, smarter, better shooter currently.

I thought Trae Young would be a bust. Oh man did he explode in the second half of the season. He definitely looks bigger in his scrimmage videos this summer too. He's incredibly skilled and crafty.

He's been working his ass off this offseason. Every day he's in someone's training camp. Scrimmaging against the best.

I'd still take Lonzo over Young. Young "exploded" his stats in the East when the regular season was almost over and everybody else is trying to tank.

Young's biggest problem is his lack of quickness not his strength. He should be slimming down to speed up, bulking up 16 pounds is just gonna slow him down. He should ask Steve Nash how much muscle mass he needed.

If Lonzo turns out to be better than Trae, that would be a surprise to me. His shooting better gets going.
