Ryno says hi. I see your Dragic and I raise you a Dragicevic. We just need to turn Knight into anything productive in trade and ship Chriss along with him to be done with this nightmare.

Help me understand why trading him for vitually nothing was better than just releasing him? Cap issues?

A guy like Danuel House or another potentially useful player has a roster spot to potentially occupy

Its all luxury tax related. They save themselves money even by giving the Bulls money. We will be pretty pissed when come draft night we can't buy any picks because we used cash considerations for luxury tax relief.

Not enough traffic at the local Landry's this year. This trade saved the Rockets about $2 million in luxury tax.

@heypartner has been on this since the offseason and I didn't give him credit then

Team has basically moved all of their money out in trades to make up for roster mistakes without eating the luxury tax hit. Disappointing.

@Deuce gave me a call-out on twitter for same thing -- tracking whether Tilman's finances will hinder Morey's M.O. for buying 2nd Round picks with Les.

Keep in mind, we did this 3 times -- Onuaku, MCW and Melo. Maybe if Tilman cuts just one of them, Morey has enough Cash left to buy a 2RP...ugh

Compare this to media saying how it was a brilliant financial management move by Morey to give Cuban cash to cut Onuaku, to reduce taxes, like it was painless, and you lose nothing.
