They adjusted to Belichick bringing his LB's up the middle almost every play. Mahomes also made the adjustment to go away from Hill (who is still being doubled), and now he's got one-on-one everywhere else, provided they pick up the up the middle blitz. I expect Belichick to eventually make an adjustment, probably a different look with zone coverage, but that also runs the risk of Hill going off.
They have instant replay on everything else. That call should be overturned by instant replay. I am sure Saints and others will push for it during the offseason.
They don't have instant replay on holding. They don't have instant replay on false starts or offsides. They don't have instant replay on personal fouls. While they certainly blew this call, in as critical a situation that you could blow a call, you can't simply make every single play reviewable. Games are long enough, with too many breaks, as is. If the officials on the field can't get this right, they need more officials on the field.
If the Chiefs make it to the SB, I'm only watching the second half. Apparently, KC doesn't bother to show up before then.
Can you name another instance where a missed penalty, or a commited penalty, is reviewable? And even if they do make just this penalty reviewable, I fear that every single called or possible PI will be reviewed... why wouldn't it? There's hand fighting on almost every singe long pass where the defender is within arm reach. There's incidental contact (that by definition is supposed to not be PI, but they sometimes call it). There's the rule that if the ball is not catchable, its not supposed to be called. Now, I do think you can challenge it if the ball is tipped (where PI is then impossible). But again, that's challenging only for that specific instance, not for every possible PI out there.
Take that, Boston. Radio said it appeared Julian never touched. But is there enough evidence? Will the league do what it wants regardless ?
You inherit it... like he did. Go get mad at your grandfather for not working harder (or in this case, being a visionary and starting a new football league)?
Why not? As long as each side is limited to 3. There is enough other less important BS stuff that they can review so I say why not.
Each side has 3, 6 total...two halves worth... also, inside 2 minutes, all calls that are potentially reviewable get reviewed. All turnovers reviewed. All scoring plays reviewed. And, its still as subjective a call as any. As opposed to a call on whether a freakin thumb touches a ball!
