This is the craziest thing I've ever read. Honestly wasn't sure whether to place this in the Hangout or the D&D.

    https://www.miamiherald.com/news/local/article220097825.html

    TLDR:
Absolutely disgusting pedofile. Hedge fund manager takes advantage of 100's of underage girls from both the US and abroad. Gets away with it for years, circumvents the entire system through collusion with Alex Acosta, current Trump cabinet member, and gets an absolutely ridiculous plea deal in 2008 where information can't be released and the FBI investigation is shut down. Dozens of witnesses, irrefutable evidence against the guy. Bill Clinton apparently rides 26 times on his private jet with this guy to several of the locations.

    Personal Comments:
I can't believe that this has not been public knowledge or reported on media for the past 12 years. This makes the entire #METOO movement look like a walk in the park in comparison. Not even a political thing, both Trump and Clinton are in on this guy. Still, Clinton looks absolutely despicable for going on the "Lolita Express" with this guy. Just seems all around ridiculous. The Alex Acosta bit is just... wow. Some of the witness testimonies, my god. I had heard of this general idea, but always dismissed it as a conspiracy theory. Now the Miami Herald basically releases a damning investigative portrait which is just crazy. I'm still having a hard time wrapping my head around this and the implications, if everyone involved ever gets properly accounted for.

This has been reported on and covered for years... and there is always outrage and nothing comes of it.

He paid teenage girls to give him massages and to have sex with them. He offered them more money if they brought him other teenage girls to give him massages and to sleep with for money.

In the industry, this is known. What you don't know is how many other big dogs were involved. And even "good" celebrities that partake in this.

On a global scale, governments are involved too.

The narrative of saying a Trump cabinet, etc, is kind of dumb. World was different 10-12 years ago, doesn't make it right, but back then this is called political pull. Now, the world is too transparent for this.

If this irked you, there's so much more out there. Now is it written in the Miami herald? Probably not, but it's still real.

Perhaps that has been true. There is still so much more to the story than that detailed in the report. I know it's a long read, but they released it two months ago and it seems to have a lot more details than previously known.

No, it is fair game to point out that Acosta is in Trump’s cabinet, especially when you consider the President’s terrible history with women and his claim that he would drain the swamp.

We can speculate on Trump defender Dershowitz or Bill Clinton, but we know conclusively of Acosta’s involvement.

    Names of others?

This has never been a secret - people just shut up when it's a rich businessman. The weird thing to me is the democrat strategy to beat trump was leaking sex pest tapes when clinton was still selling out convention centers. Politics attracts a dirty type of person.

    Unsurprising
    Money changes everything
The #MeToo Movement turned into more of a power grab than a justice seeking movement

Ok fair, but let's go ahead and do this with every candidate won or lost. Clinton, Kennedy, etc.

Look at all the top money manager, politicians, athletes, etc. This is white collar pimping man. It even states in that article that it covered up other big time people lol.

You know these athletes you watch every night? Ya when they go back home in the summer time, they get their girls back and pass them around to their friends. The girls just do it cause he gets them that LV purse or that G Wagon.

Womanizing is everywhere. What makes this different is the underage aspect, thats ****ed up.

This topic is like PEDs in sports, if you don't have definitive proof as a forum poster it's not happening. Sure it's happening, don't be naive.

    Of course.

It is fair game to point out the background of any cabinet member or politician.

The problem Acosta is going to run into, is that there isn't any ambiguity. He cannot claim ignorance. Either he gave Epstein an unfairly good plea deal OR he exercised really poor professional judgment and was out smarted by the Epstein attorney. In either case, do you want that person involved in the cabinet of the President of the United States........ that is your individual choice.

I don't think anyone has a legal issue with Epstein or any other man having sex with women for money if consent exists. While we may not like it from a moral perspective, or tolerate from a President (in the past) or Supreme Court Justice but it isn't criminal.

In the case of Epstein, they were not "young girls". They were teenagers as young as 14-15 years old and he paid them paltry sums to sexually satisfy him. That coupled with the sheer number got him in trouble. The entire arrangement was extremely unsophisticated and risky, for a man that has traditionally been very risk adverse. Who uses word of mouth and a promise of a few hundred dollars to get local high school girls for sexual gratification? Rather foolish.

Trump and Clinton were both involved, IIRC.

I mostly understand the law. I read some of the article but not all yet. I get why people are mad at all of the attorneys in this case but what about the Judge? Why would he/she allow this? The judge should share a huge part of the blame for this failure of the judicial system.

I was a big Clinton fan, but if he was involved, they should go after him just like everyone else.

Federal prosecutors in New York charged wealthy financier Jeffrey Epstein on Monday with sex trafficking charges, alleging he abused dozens of underage girls as young as 14. Epstein, 66, was charged with one count of sex trafficking conspiracy and one count of sex trafficking with underage females. He pleaded not guilty, according to the Associated Press.

Maybe the D&D thread is the best place to carry this forward.
