We're overplaying the oldest team in the NBA. This is not a luck thing. We should have had more injuries. We have been fortunate considering what we're doing. Giving mid 30's guys career highs in minutes, and one of the NBA's minutes leaders (harden) a near-career high in minutes and career high in just the weight he's carrying offensively. Playing short rotations. Whether we have had to do it or not, we must accept that we are essentially inviting injury risk more than any team in the NBA. I really wanted MDA to learn a lesson from the WCF so that we would come out of it with something positive, but he didn't. Tilman is going to blame Morey/MDA for his own misunderstanding of what it takes to replace Ariza and Moute. Now Morey has to fix it cheaply, and MDA has to grind these players' knees.
One truth we have to face. Outside Austin Rivers, House and sometimes Green, there is still a talent vaccuum on the bench.
to be fair, gordon's been pretty injury free during his time with the rockets, considering his injury history i think... right?

This is the 2nd type of overuse type injury hes had this year, which is a huge cause of concern. At the beginning of the year he had Achilles tendonitis which is an over use type of injury that is particularly scary considering it is typically a precursor for an Achilles rupture. Which is easily the worst injury to have. This is also another overuse injury it seems but on the knee. Hes always been pretty fragile and injury prone. Hes had great health with us but we have been overusing and extending him the end of last year and this year so far.
Probably because we have not much chance to win unless we play them. I'm sure that Gary Clark must not be hitting enough 3s in practice. The coaches know more than we do. Every team deals with injuries. It's just part of the game. Anyhow, I think a trade is coming, and by the time the playoffs come, we'll have two more rotation players once Carmelo and Chris's are gone.
Yes, but whether we have to or not, those worn down knees and hamstrings are getting weaker by the day. Missing the playoffs is not worse than a season ending injury to Paul or Harden imo.
The worst is we did not get a high enough pick if there is a season ending injury to either of the stars. Making the Playoffs or not. Fertitta like Les Alexander is trying to circumvent the actual system. That is going thru the draft to get young talent on rookie contracts. You can only bandaid so many seasons.
It’s the one thing Screaming Stephen A Smith said that I agreed with: MDA runs his players into the ground.
