People should prepare themselves for refs calling travels on Harden step backs in the immediate aftermath on this, even when there isn't a travel.
Refs can’t zero in on Harden like people want because there’s nothing to zero in on. He gets fouled. People don’t like it because they think he baits it, but he can’t be guarded without fouling him. You can give other players space and still guard because they aren’t a malleable ****ing wrecking ball with pin point precision like Harden is.
What you're really saying is Silver will assign Foster to be ref for either the Miami game on TNT this Thursday, or the XMas game on ABC. @pippendagimp
Think about how hard it is to ascend past the cesspool GSW echo chamber to reach the final level and appreciate the skill of a player like James Harden when the world is dunking on his greatness at every turn. There are good people who work at Trump Towers too. #neverforget.
Nets announcers have b****ed about Harden shooting so many free throws(in comparison to Lebron) and his apparent quintuple step back last night during the game tonight
But if Harden had done his hop step and had his feet land simultaneous it would not be a travel, and he at times does hop and land both feet close enough at the same time. In this case, I think he probably gathered too early before he got his left foot back.
These are NBA players, you'd think they would be studying his move and breaking it down and trying to master it in the off season just like the Eurostep. I don't even see players trying, and I don't think it's too difficult to master if a player really put their mind to it. It's skilled but far more simple than Hakeems movements. In any case, there is a reason for Harden being MVP last year. And there's a reason for him being hated. People will always hate an innovator. The "purists" will decry it as maligning the game and the masses will call it cheating. But the more they protest, the more they are validating how much of an innovator he is and the impact he is having on the game. Has for Harden putting himself in harm's way - I am not so sure I buy 100% of what is being sold. Harden rarely elevates in an exposed way where he will be undercut. When he goes up it's a clear path and a dunk - he's a smart player and doesn't take crazy risks. I haven't seen him land on more feet than other players and the most egregious one I saw was Blake Griffin which was intentional.
that's the ZDOG video ClutchFans has been waiting for. Anticipating. Craving. It.Deserves.Its.Own.Thread.
Post game Harden got asked about the step-back step-back play. His response? “What do you want me to say? Tell on myself?”
Lulz...Silver assigns Foster as predicted to call Harden for travel, tonight. Sometimes conspiracy theories are correct. This is Foster first game vs Rockets this year. Silver had him ready for assignment when needed. thought you'd like a conspiracy in action, @Will @SamFisher @DreamShook
You'd think so, but I watched Warriors Game 6 and Game 7 where Harden got maybe 30% of the calls he should have gotten.
