Several otherwise reasonable people (along with the usual trolls), even if I disagree with a lot of their politics, are going to great lengths to vilify her, belittle her, marginalize her, all the while carrying on about what a "communist" she is (one of the most hilarious things I've read down here in a long time - thanks for the laugh, Os!), what a "liar" she is, what a "threat" she is, even comparing her to a true lunatic who's a real danger to this country, trump (something else I find very funny about their attacks on the young lady), and this all because a 29 year old chick, who's very bright, somewhat attractive, and new to politics, beat a very senior congressman. She has yet to take her seat, but you guys are going ballistic. Is it because she's a woman? I simply don't get the interest. I honestly don't. It's like you need a female Democratic opponent to rage about, make fun of, and declare dangerous because of either paranoia, a subconscious fear of women, or the belief that it is a good political tactic. I guess the idea that she be given a couple of years to actually learn how to be a congresswoman is simply too much to endure.
This is the bit I find the craziness. I wouldn't expect a conservative to like her politics. But, they always want to build her up as the personification of the future of the Democratic Party. She is essentially at the very bottom of the national political totem pole -- a first term Rep. Some people are very happy she was elected, but she doesn't actually represent anybody except the voters of her district. Go back to the old Pelosi punching bag, someone who has the power to actually influence the Democratic platform.
She is young and unknowingly contradicts herself quite often. This makes her susceptible to communist or Marxist rhetoric. Don’t fall for it. Learn the true story of communism.
