yep, Wag the Dog is great and I mentioned it to my wife, I think that's on the list. She's kind of wanting to run down a bunch of "president movies." Don't recall In the Loop, I'll look that one up
no. looks interesting from the wiki description, I'll put it on the list also. Loved the Nixon film with Anthony Hopkins, only one I couldn't get into is the one where Nixon meets Elvis. Too slow, turned it off about 20 minutes in. The Nixon film about Nixon and Dick Cavett was great, Frank Langella does a fantastic job as Nixon
Halloween 2018: Good for what it was, a slasher film but are we just supposed to forget everything that happened before. She had a son in H20. The female podcaster had me thinking she was Kimmy Schmidt even had to look at the imdb
The Equalizer 2 - 8/10...really fun film Denzel is like a black Punisher...he was slicing dudes up in this movie like the movie is predictable, but u don’t go and see these type of films because you’re expecting some elaborate plot Denzel was great
bunch of new westerns on prime right now, rewatched Hang 'Em High. Still holds up pretty well, a bit slow-moving at times, feels a bit disjointed moving from plot element to plot element. didn't realize it was Eastwood's first U.S. film. 7/10
Drinking Buddies If you are ever looking for a dude-ish RomCom, this is one of them. Didnt feel too bad about getting roped into it. Added bonus- Olivia Wilde shows her bewbz in it.
i may give it a shot...no idea what its about...guess its based off a book or something? but peter jackson and i guess visuals/CGI is really well done. i go to movies to be entertained...i'm not looking for in depth story lines. the audience score on RT isn't great either better than 27% but not awesome...which worries me. sometimes RT a movie gets a terrible score from critics but audience score is more reasonable and better. feel thats more important...critics can be weird.
I enjoyed it as well. 8/10. Real life sometimes does not adhere to the ACT 1-2-3 structure that Hollywood movies follow. Thus, Bo Rap did not deliver the same story arc punch that most movies do (or at least strive to). But as a quasi-documentary (real life events but out of order to make the story flow) Bo Rap delivers.
