Who doesn't love the xylophone? And is that guy playing a saw blade with a bow? And the slide on a stretched wire? I love this. Respect! I learned how to play bass on an inverted washtub.
Interesting interview with GosT on Bandcamp. He's from Texas, like Lazerhawk. Guy is super talented, comes from a super heavy metal background (there are several of these guys in Synthwave now).
Ok... I'm really curious what Ministry show are you referring to? I saw them once and it was AMAZING, then again a few years later and it was not like the first show.
Saw them @ Scumbers in '90 the day after seeing the the @ Cullen. Show was beyond intense with chicken wire covering the front of the stage and lots of freaks climbing up it. Al was offering folks free hits of Acid....
Thanks again for giving an old dude something new to enjoy. 1970...no synth required...real people...
Oh wow. Ok that's before my time. I saw them in Houston (I believe in 97') I've always said that was one of the 3 best shows I have been to. The entire crowd was jumping around crazy. From the stage until at least 3/4 of the way back or more. Good times.
I've been backstage bf all I recalled was lot of graffiti on the walls and shitty couches. Fill me in!
Mural of a dinosaur head painted by the singer of Gwar while tripping balls. Your Ministry story made me think of it. Funny, when I was a young musician, my dream was to play Numbers. I loved the music and the vibe back then. Once we played the venue, it of course was not enough.
Stumbled across this last night. Music is synthwave + 80's sax riffs. Video is produced by the crazy talented producer, Adi Shankar, of the Castlevania Netflix show. Video is an awesome homage of Blade vs Lost Boys with a smidge of Predator. Slightly NSFW for racy sex kitten Indiana Yes, that's the real, original sax guy from the Lost Boy movie, Tim Cappello
