[ESPN] BREAKING: Lakers were upset that they kept getting called for fouls, decided to try to stop fouling

    What a dumb article.

Did Lakers frustrate at bricking most of their FTs? What a bunch of weak ass.

To me this story says more about how undisciplined the Lakers are than anything else.

Kuzma and Hart won’t give him space to land...they look dumb crying about all those fouls

Lakers just need to stop putting Hart on Harden, period...the guy has no chance...Harden either blows by him easily, or exploits his numerous mistakes

Harden can score 40 or 50 on the Lakers whenever he wants...when he drops only 30, it’s because we’re crushing them so he takes it easy...the Lakers are 1 of the easiest matchups in the league for him

yeah id say 1 or 2 of the calls are somewhat questionable but all the ones where they don't give a shooter room to land, that's a foul at any level

Hey, Lonzo, there's an official term for touching someone while they're attempting a 3-pointer. It's called...

    A FOUL

Kuzma and Hart are doing Zaza impersonations out there...Harden pretty much has to fall or he’ll risk rolling his ankle on their foot

Lakers mad their players don't know how to play controlled defense. Harden has been shut down plenty of times before with defenders not fouling him on those step back 3's, he actually missis a lot of them this season. But Kuzma and Hart keeps undercutting him for no reason.

Just remembered this, the IRONY of the media focusing on us getting the foul calls. But not a peep about game 7 last year where it was obvious non calls. That was one of the worst officiated games in NBA history. But the Lakers & Lebron come in town and now we wanna talk about officiating? After they get their ass kicked

This is absolutely RICH coming from the Lakers who made Kobe their god-king, literally the most untouchable guard to ever play.

It's embarrassing, even for Dave McMenamin "Lakers and NBA Reporter for ESPN", to publish this article given the absolute fact that we had a +5 advantage at the line (box score says they had 27 FTA). I demand for Tim MacMahon to counter with a written rebuttal of all the times we put them at the line and garner comments from our own players on whether they believe they were warranted. Looking into it, here are some egregious numbers.
    As a team, Houston is:
    • 25th at 23.3 Personal Fouls per Game
    • 30th (dead last) at 23.1% Personal Fouls per Possession
    • 30th at 21.0% Personal Fouls per Defensive Play
    Contrast that with:
    • 24th at 20.5 Opponent Personal Fouls per Game
    • 19th at 20.4% Opponent PF per Possession
    • 19th at 18.3% Opponent PF per Defensive Possession
Per game, we commit more fouls than 24 other teams and draw fewer foul calls than 23 others. This disparity just puts into perspective the media's narrative is on our beloved team. As a team, I'm thinking this needs to be something they need to focus on. Part of the solution is Harden, being the best in this area, and all our guys to keep attacking while minimizing the antics, and other is to adjust to the rule changes. The fact that Harden got to the line so many times was because he was in attack mode - if not him, then who else? Team needs to follow suit. The hands behind the back close-up Lebron got was just a perfect example of him using the media and the spotlight to his advantage - circle-jerk material.

The truth is that the Fakers are a young, careless team (except for LeBron and Chandler) and keep getting caught with their hands in the cookie jar.

And that Kuzma foul was really more of a Kuzma flop and the refs weren't falling for it.

kuzma is a player really lacking in character. as brutal as lonzo's father is, the kid still seems to play the right way. but kuzma and ingram are just trash and neither of these bums will ever win jack.

Don’t reach can’t teach. Defense is mostly moving your feet. One reason why Olajuwon was so good.

Lakers planting a seed for the refs to screw us the rest of the season and playoffs. Whatever King James commands, NBA defers.
