The story of Dick Cheney, as told by the guy who wrote/directed The Big Short (and Anchorman). The cast looks amazingly cool, and yes, that is Christian Bale in a fat suit playing Cheney The trailer I saw on Tv over the weekend was better, but I can't find that one. Deal with it.
Haven't heard trailer music that good since "Blow." It will probably be as speculative or factually compressed as "W," but this is a good enough cast to make it interesting.
Did you see The Big Short? If it's anything like that it will be hilarious and mostly (plus Hollywood) grounded in facts. Not on the level of Oliver Stone b.s.
W is a good example of the problem with these films; when everyone involved in making it has outsized contempt for the subject matter, there's zero sense of perspective and it devolves into caricature.
