If anyone is looking for HD DVD movies go down to Cole's flea market. I've seen hundreds for sale there.
I love that place- I've been going there since I was a kid. It really is little Mexico. My mother, with her casual racism, used to tell me to hold on to my sister's hand, tight, because they would steal her and take her to Mexico because she was blond haired and blue eyed. I took my son there a couple years ago early on a Sunday morning and we were the only white people there. A little old abuela hugged my son and called him niño, and he commented about how weird it was. We stopped at a stall where they had $200 roosters, and I explained why they cost so much to my son. Dudes were getting ripped on cheap beer at 8 AM. Lots of strange bootleg Spanglish stuff. It's a Houston treasure.
I go almost every weekend. I take a rolling cooler and get Ceviche every time I go. It’s $2 to get in (if you park) and you can bring your own booze. I love it
Yeah, casual, as in, she didn't even think about it. It's generational, but I'm not condoning it. My grandmother does it too - she talks about how my grandfather fought 'The Japs' in WWII. I know it's prevalent in every culture. What can you do but be a better person?
Samsung will stop releasing new Blu-ray players in the U.S. https://www.digitaltrends.com/home-theater/samsung-stops-4k-ultra-blu-ray-players/ Officially DOOMED
This thread reminds me of when I worked at Camelot Music at Baybrook Mall and the LD4L (Lazer Disc For Lyfer) schmucks would come in looking for any and every disc they could get their hands on. Great investment fellas!
