Why does Gerald Green get a free pass 24/7 while Melo gets banished?

Green, Gordon, and Melo have all been disasters this season

Can’t afford to have no wings outside of Harden

Everybody just loves to hate on Melo before you spew all this narrative BS without any proof do some analysis on why the Rox were losing:

    Capela plays bad
    Cp3 plays bad
    = We lose

    Capela plays great
    Cp3 plays great
    = We win

Are you saying Melo is the reason why Cp3 and Capela played horrible the first 10 games of the season? WTF! The only argument you can say that Melo negatively impacted the team is if the role players he was displacing suddenly played great the moment he left.

Tucker? Green? Gordon? Ennis? Which of these guys were playing horrible and then blew up the moment Melo left? As far as I can see they are still playing the same way they were when Melo was on the team, Tucker and Ennis playing well, Green wildly inconsistent and Gordon on a cold streak. Nothing's changed. So why is it Melo's fault again? Letting Melo go opened up mins for Gary Clark which is good but on nights like these when Clark can't hit a shot it would have been nice to get Melo in for some scoring.

I'm one of the most die hard Rockets on this board and I hate it when they let go of somebody who could have HELPED the team just because of stupid public opinion. Roster decisions should be based on fact and analysis rather than peer pressure wtf.

Melo was playing about twice as much as Green and taking about twice as many shots.
Melo has a bad history with D'Antoni and Bzedlik while Green was a solid contributor to the Rockets last year.

Because Green does not demand touches or minutes.

I don't know why you and a few others still don't understand or refuse to accept why Melo is gone. It has been repeated so many times by so many people.

    1. The role the Rockets want Melo to take does not fit him.
    2. The role Melo wants to take does not fit the team.
    3. Melo is not going to change his game.
    4. The team is not going to change to fit him.
    5. Adios.

Melo was not the ONLY reason the team sucked in the first 10 games. But he is certainly part of it. So if he (1) didn't help, and (2) doesn't fit, why is it so surprising that he is not here anymore.

BTW, did I mention the media drama he brings?

The point is everybody was playing bad the start of the season, so when you say Melo "didn't fit the team" that was also the time Cp3 and Capela "didn't fit the team". Did we give up on Capela or Cp3? No.

All of your points really have no basis, its your opinion. I can make 100 points of how Melo fits the team but it have as much substance as yours.

Melo had a couple of 20 pt games and had contributed a couple of wins. Again he wasn't playing well but you can contribute that to the horrible camp they had. If given time he would have been in shape just like Capela and Cp3.

It would have been one thing if we had a lot of depth, but we are only 6 men deep. Melo would have been a great help in terms of team depth and talent, as we can see in the last game we could have used his scoring.

Well we're almost 20 games in the season & Gordon's STILL playing like a scrub. Do you recommend he get waived too?

Agreed. Bigger picture, I really think the Rockets need Melo. We're depending on 2 rookies right now who bring hustle & energy off the bench. Our 2 superstars almost have to play well every night for us to win. We need another veteran off the bench. What happens in the playoffs when Harden goes cold & CP just doesn't have it? Are we depending EG who can't hit a shot? Is Gary Clark gonna give us 20? Nope. Melo was another option in case things go south. Now we have absolutely no margin of error
