only advantage to our home court is that our players get to rest at home and eat a proper home cooked meal before the game. nothing about the arena tho.
Nah, the main value of Home Court is we don’t have the disadvantage or facing the HCA of GSW, OKC, Utah, Bos, TOR, etc.
Honestly though, even last year, I feel we play better on the road tbh. But he's right GSW, Boston, Toronto have deadly HCA.
Toyota Center during last year's WCF was legitimately good. It is probably the only time I can say that in the last decade.
Pretty daunting task. But that is the hole that has been dug. Goes without saying Morey has work to do.
I know poor team defensive fundamentals when I see them. When your “defense” looks like a layup drill, your “box outs” are on a middle school level and your offensive “movement” consists of guys standing in one spot you are fundamentally flawed. We had injures all last season, yet you didn’t see these glaring flaws (occasional mistakes do happen). I know we all would like to believe that injuries are the main cause but it goes deeper than that. Guys just don’t know where to be, particularly on defense. We should expect a similar record unless there is a fundamental shift in the team philosophy. They need to get back to and master the basics.
I was gonna say "well in the 07 and 05 first round it was great" but then I realized that that was over a decade ago. Sheesh I'm old. LOL
Ok but then to give that context how about I list all the guys who go 1-16 who wash out within a few years. Its ALL a gamble 1-60.
2018 - 0 starters 2017 - 1 starter now in kuzma 2016 - 1 starter jones who plays like 16 mins for a historic team at the 5 for the first time in his 3rd year 2015 - 0 current starters 2014 - capela and kyle anderson where exactly is the alot of nba starters
IF they can get that far, I'm not gonna worry about HCA. The Rockets have a pretty good history of being the underdog with back to the wall. What I do worry is that we can't turn the corner for this season and end up in the lower half of the brackets.
shame I wasn't there. been to so many games in the toybox during the yao-mergady era and was supremely disappointed by the crowd every single time, altho they were regular season games. dunno if I'm biased but i remember he summit rocking as a kid during the dream era, even in the latter franchise years of the summit. dunno if the htine people are to blame or if it's the way the toybox is built to cater to everything else but the game.
