Rox lose big. Artest and O'neal are just too much. Unless our guards shoot the lights out, expect a blowout.

    Theres a couple factors here...

Indiana is at home we just came off an impressive win but its on National TV... People say Indiana is right now the hottest team in the league but we seem to crush the teams that are the hottest in the league at that time.

example: NY/ TWolves/ Lakers so im crossing my fingers that we upset them too.

    Yao's breakout game..

    33 pts/ 10 rebs/ 10 blks

    SF

    15 pts/ 8 rebs/ 12 assists

I think the Rox keep feeding Yao who goes off this game..

Go Yao! Go Rox! Go Super Duper Backup Bench Brigade!

    Yao 4-10 FGs12 pts 8reb
    SF 3-13FGs 10 pts 4 assts 7 TOs
    Cat 5-13Fgs 13 pts 3 assts 5 TOs

Well to win this game Yao is going to have to be aggressive early, setting the tone. The backcourt needs to show up too in order to pull this game out.

Yao will made indy miss Rik Smit..
and Mark Jackson will light up his old team for trading him away more than once...

    Mark Jackson 20 assists.
    Yao 10-10 20 pt, 15 reb, 5 blks,
    Steve DNP- coach's decision (it's just a joke, it's just a joke)

    Reggie 1-15 2 pts 3 TO

    Rox win.
The start of a winning streak.

    Finally...
    nachbar first double-double...

Pacers continue playing physical basketball seeded by bad boy Isaiah Thomas. Yao will have a really tough time. But since Yao said he has "got it" and I optimistically predict our guards will stop their shooting woes in this game. This will turn out to be a tough victory:

    Rox 88
    Pacers 87

Quotes from previous game against the Pacers:

    Van Gundy
"We struggle against the best defenses. So, again, our passing is poor. It’s hard to shoot off a bad pass."

    Yao Ming
""It was hard to get the ball in the paint. When I got the ball, it was hard to catch it. They (the Pacers) were constantly pressuring me and trying to get the ball out of my hands."

There aren't too many guarantees in life, but I think there's a 100% chance that Rick Carlisle is going to test the post entry passing skills of the Rockets by fronting Yao with Jeff Foster. I fully expect disappointing results unless Mark Jackson is utilized more with Yao in order to get him the ball when and where he wants it.

Rockets win 125-121. Two defensive juggernauts suddenly become offensive powerhouses. Rick Carlislie and Jeff Van Gundy become bored with their defensive philosphies and finally come to the conclusion that the best defense is a good offense. To motivate his team, JVG says that whoever scores the lowest will have the task of sweeping up all the hair JVG loses after every game.
    :D
Anyway, here's a nice article about Mark Jackson on the Indy Star. Good read. Enjoy.
Old guard just won't fade away

    Audio Link

    WIBC 1070 am

Last time their streaming seemed to be down the day of the game so I'm not sure it works. The link is working this morning but will during the game.....I don't know.

If you try it tonight can you please post and let me know if it works or not.- Thanks

Their site says they will not broadcast Pacers games, but other links said the same thing and we were still able to listen online.

***********Because of the NBA restriction you may need to log on at least 30 minutes before the game.**********

    Hope it helps.

Same day, new year, different result, Rockets win.
