    He's not a rookie though.. 2017 draft.

Either way they're both slow but make up ground well with their length. Isaiah seems like a clumsy deer to me when he's out there.

I guess Zhou didn't have a rookie season either then? He was 2016 draft.

guys can improve... not saying they necessarily will become superstars or even starters... but if we give guys a chance to develop and dont just dismiss them as scrubs and glue them to the bench... maybe we dont let the next Covington walk away....

Maybe the Rockets Trainers can put Isaiah through drills especially the small cones, ladder ropes etc hopefully he improves his lateral quickness even more.

Again some you guys have horrible takes (you're basically lying to yourselves) and you get mad at anyone telling the truth. You're literally complaining in your post lol its so frustrating and ironic to try to post with so many man babies around who get their feelings hurt anytime you dont say exactly what they want. Hartenstein is an all star, his defense is better than Ben Wallace are you happy? lol Are we cool now?

Not sure what you mean. Would this count as Isaiah's rookie season since he didn't technically sign until this season?

I'm not familiar with 2nd round pick technicalities. Sorry.

He’s another name in a long list of value players we always have.

    In other words:

    He’s a freaking scrub.

I just checked his stats and his defensive fg percentage is 37% which is on par with Pj,hes playing at an elite level.

Rookie season isn't determined by when you were drafted or even signed, but by when you play. Arvydas Sabonis was drafted in 1985, but didn't have his rookie season until the 95-96 season at the age of 31. Being 1st or 2nd round doesn't make a difference. Joel Embiid was drafted in 2014 and signed, but sat out the first two years due to injury and didn't have his rookie season until 16-17.

The overcommit comes from his inexperience but at least he’s been in the right places and doesn’t get completely lost. He still funnels his oponents to areas where there is help.

Sorry bro, but that one stat without any context is gonna ever lead to believe he is anything on PJ's level. I just dont see it on the court.

I already knew about the injury technicality and overseas rights with draftees. Just wasn't sure if G League counted towards your rookie season after being drafted. I know Zhou played in 18 NBA games last season so that would technically count as his rookie season right?

    He's very Brewer-esque, but I like him long-term

Brewer-esque? Brewer was the greyhound. Or the headless chicken. Hartenstein is the land walrus.

Both are as clumsy as I've ever seen on an NBA court, but once again...I think Hartenstein is going to be solid long-term.
