what did you expect from hartenstein, chriss, clark, MCW, gerald, and melo? throw ennis and nene in there too even tho they aren't playing. all of them are being asked to play a bigger role than they can. gerald, melo, and ennis are good in limited bench minutes, not big roles (if you want to win). clark and hart are nice prospects but should be in RGV this year... not main contributors to the rockets if we are trying to win. we've only got 5 real players on this team: harden, paul, capela, tucker, gordon. we need to add at least 2 more to be a contender again. melo/green/ennis can round out the 8-10th man roles on a contender.

Butler is not saving our defense, we need a proper defensive coach. Our offense is **** without both Harden and Cp3 healthy.
There's a reason why they keep guys like Bogut, Ezeli, Mo Speights, Zaza, West and McGee playing minutes. They are also rolling out Cousins and Jerebko. This is a myth. This team is also not built at the wings like Golden State, who has Iguoadala and Durant for great team rebounding. Tucker plays the Green role but aside from Capela we have absolutely no one that makes people think twice about layups. It doesn't have a be a 7'3 plodder, but you need some 6'10s in your rotation where people can't just drop it over their outstretched arms. One of Nene, Chriss, Qi or Hartenstein has to figure something out. Or better... Morey.
We all kinda knew 2018 would be the last hurrah. Even before the CP deal, you had Capela Ariza and Beverley coming free at the same time. Guys were gonna get paid and you can only stretch vet min players out so far. This has got 2006-2010 Astros written all over it.
If Daryl Morey knew how to draft or kept talent from Rio Grande Valley Drafting Marcus Morris over Kawhi Leonard Trading for Chris Paul as a young talent standpoint destroyed this year for sure. Montrezl Harrell especially, Lou Williams as a bench scorer, Patrick Beverley. Passing on Marc Gasol Nikola Jokic Deandre Jordan These moves are unforgivable to me, Just Releasing Talent instead of keeping them and growing them Robert Covington instead of keeping Francisco Garcia a really old player, Harden friend or not, keep the best player James Johnson Hassan Whiteside
how is this a clown ass thread? a team with championship aspirations and WCF expectations and the reigning MVP is 1-5 to start the year. someone getting fired is a very real possibility. if you're not acknowledging that, perhaps you're the clown.

Our defense has gotten a bit better. Our offense just needs to improve drastically when Harden returns.
