I have a friend who is fairly connected in Denver. He told me awhile back that Elway is an alcoholic and that Kubiak has been running the team for awhile now.
I'm glad some of you all are excited about this. I'm not. But he is not a negative. He will help the team. How much help, we will find out. I really wish they went out and got a CB instead. Shareece Wright is the only CB "starter" available for next Sunday
DT may be past his prime a bit, but he can still be a solidly productive asset to the team. I'm satisfied with this trade. Good job, Texans.
Interesting that it was such a big trade deadline. Usually, NFL trade deadline passes by with a whimper. Felt a lot like MLB where you have teams that are buyers and teams that are sellers.
No indication that this deal precluded another for a CB. Gotta take what the market offers sometimes. We needed a WR and we got one. The CB outlook for this Sunday is bleak but we get a much needed bye and JJo and Colvin could be back by then.
Ppl said the same thing about Brandon Marshall. I’m not expecting 1500 yards and 14tds. I’m expecting a revitalized DT. He’s clearly lost a step that’s why he’s on the Texans for a 4th round pick. But I think in this Houston offense with the way Watson can allow WR more time to get open by extending plays will play right into better production for DT. I still think he can be a big asset in the red zone opposite of DHOP. I think he can grab 45-50 balls depending on how he’s used and get 600 yards and 4-5 tds over the last 8 games. He does that and I’d say he’s had a very successful run with this team.
Anyone questioning the move should ask themselves who exactly would have been a better fit that was available. Tate? maybe. Jackson? probably. Antonio Brown? Definitely. Fck it, Tyreek Hill. There were options on the market, and we decided instead of going for a skinny go-route receiver we go for a huge, fast, and strong WR. It's not exactly a bad compromise. We gave up some but not the whole bank, and he will be terrific in our scheme. He's not Fuller, but he will help our offense immensely. Sometimes people just need something to complain about. GREAT TRADE.
All these teams taking WRs. Obviously a huge demand for them and yet Dez is still unsigned. Word must be out about him as a person.
