No...the umpires didn't cheat. They made some questionable calls, but there was no cheating involved.

Watching Boston is frustrating they have had so much success based off of extreme patience and difficult at bats.

4 runs walked in this post season.

In stark contrast I think of our guys falling over swinging for the fences.

I wish everyone could develop that Bregman patience.

Boston's team OB% in the ALCS was .327; the Astros: .337. The difference was timely hitting; they had it and the Astros (mostly) did not.

It's what makes the baseball postseason so damn frustrating and hard to win in. We had a higher OPS, one more homer and 5 more walks, yet we lost in 5.

It's not about how well you hit, it's when you hit. Over 162 your superiority has time to play out. In a series, not so much, particularly when the other team is equally good to start with.

Yep. And the difference can, in the case of game 4, literally be inches. At four different intervals, the Astros were inches away from: 1) tying the game, 2-2 in the B1; 2) getting a critical 2nd out in the B7, only to have Correa miss stepping on 2nd base; 3) lead-off the B8 with a baserunner, only to have Kemp get gunned down trying to stretch a double, handing the Sox a lead-off out instead; 4) tying, possibly winning, the game on an Alex Bregman rope in the B9 with the bases loaded.

The best part about this series was that it wasn't the Yankees. Alex Cora may become the next Steve Kerr though, except with an infinitely better personality.

The difference shrinks when your catcher can't catch the ball.

Worst part is that the Astros are still not in it and it isn’t over yet.

The "Boston is this year's Astros" comments can cease.

    1) Astros didn't have MLB's best record... or 2nd best for that matter.

    2) Astros didn't breeze through the playoffs either. Boston only has three losses total this year. Stros equaled that in two different series.

Hate saying it.. but the '18 Sox will go down as one of the greatest teams ever.

Let's regroup and do better next year.

Yea. This team just beat the stuffing out of every team they played in the postseason. Can’t wait till next year to take them on with healthy players.

What are the chances of the big one hitting LA in the next 10 mins?

This should be extra motivation for our team to come back stronger and determined.

It was a homerun. It will always be a homerun.
