Rockets fans don't realize how much of an issue the Dieng contract is. If the Rockets trade say Gordon and Knight for Dieng and Butler, then give Butler the max, that's $50mil combined. Add in Capela and CP3 and Harden and that's deep luxury tax territory even the Heat wouldn't pay when they had LeBron. Cyberx said the Rockets aren't including picks is 100% because of this. They want to retain picks so they can move salary off. If the Rockets give the Kings 2 1st round picks to move off of Dieng that may work. But then the Wolves would get no picks and they don't want that. It's impossible for the Rockets to satisfy both the Wolves and their own salary sheet at the same time. The alternative is to treat Butler as a rental. Which is fine, but then why give up assets and take on Dieng's terrible deal just to be slightly better this year? It's very possible there's a better deal at the deadline that doesn't involve such a mortgaging of the future.
Uh, fair enough, we'll see how he proceeds from here. I think he'll still be a great player. Well I dont know about well liked, but I do know Harden is a hard worker and puts in hours in the gym, I also think he's become a better leader from where he was before.
Yeah, when I talk with fans of other NBA teams, the first thing out of their mouths is, “Harden travels,” or some version of “Harden flops,” when it should be, “Harden makes my team’s players look stupid.” Lots of other stars around the league have their own little things you could nitpick but somehow they get more of a pass.

I don’t buy this Ariza buyout scenario. If anything his expiring contract will be dealt for some assets.
I don’t think he’s anything great but $13 mil per year at that age? A lot would have to go wrong to regret that.
its only a 3 yr deal and i think has a team option third year lol. pretty good deal. he has shown some improvement in all areas. i still wouldnt want him over EGO
I love me some Ariza. I don't think we need him to win the championship, but I'd love to have him on the team so he could celebrate with us when we do.

wolves down 30+ at the half. it must suck trying to play with this circus going on. their front office needs to realize they just need to get this over with ASAP. other teams can see how this is affecting their team. they arent going to get any better offers. just pick one and move on.
