Osuna is nasty boy. Did y'all see the hesitation on the Windup? He also has one where he accelerates it, adding one more timing component to bat against. 2 Major points coming from the game today: We still have an elite offense. The thing about us during the regular season is that we are a contact team for the most part, and because of injuries and cold streaks, we always had holes on the lineup and we struggle more then lets say a HR based team. Our bullpen is nasty. We legit have Brewers like 7th 8th 9th lockdown bullpen with Presley Mccullers and Osuna. if our SPs go 6 Innings giving up sub 3 runs (considering how elite our staff is, it's not that insane to predict) we have a chance to win all the games we play, increasing our chance to repeat tremendously. And I apologise to Maldonado. Was disappointed in us not going all in or Realmuto, and setling for a backup C. That 94 mph, fastball, up and out of the zone HR was impressive to say the least, and his arm behind the plate neutralises Cleveland base running, to the point that I think he is clearly more valuable then Mccann for our entire run this year. Having said that, just one game, haven't won anything..... this year......yet.
I was heavy on the JT train, but one thing that is going to be a huge deal especially in this series is the Indians tendency to steal bases and be aggressive. With Maldanado back there it makes them hesitate or think twice for sure. We have enough offense in our lineup to sustain his ups and downs if he keeps the Indians to a much lower chance of stealing a base and getting in scoring position. I think they sort of knew we might face them going into the trade deadline when they dealt for him.
Amen! Contributions across the board! Hell of a performance! Uncanny how similar this game 1 was to redsox game 1 last year...
Tyler didn't have his normal velocity. That is a good sign for the Astros. He normally throw 95-96. Today he was more 92 with the occasional 94.
you must be talking about Trevor*. doesn't really matter. just another hyped up pitcher that gets hit on by the astros
Oh man I hope we make it back and take care of business. I mean, I get it, but sick of the bias. Love taking out the darlings of MLB. It’s what made last years run even sweeter.
The Yankees will beat the Red Sox in this series. They're the only team in all of baseball that can challenge us. The Astros should win....I'm just sayin.
You can hear surprisingly well on the MMP infield, but usually there is someone else repeating what the catcher is saying.
Never can tell with this rivalry. We’ve obviously seen some crazy things over the years. Yanks may not have the starting pitching to win it. I think the Yankees need to get to the Sox starters, hope for a lead and let their bullpen take over in the middle/late innings to have a shot. This series is a tossup for me.
Let him do that vs. other teams. He doesn't hit well against us. We have a different game plan for every hitter, I would think.
