I see the newcomers in the key of G(league) and Zhou, well... he might catch on somewhere that wants to bolster its Asian fan base. Don't think it's gonna happen here...
Caboclo is 6-9ish with 8ft wingspan, shows signs of excellent mobility, has a motor, and should certainly benefit from having Nene Svengali in his ear.

"Romance of the Three Centers"? I'll go with the 'surprise bachelor'. I think Bruno will pick it up quickly.

Where is the Carmelo/PJ tandem front-court option? I vote for that for 6 minutes per game. Clint gets 36. The final 6 goes to whichever Viper can get to Houston the quickest.

Chriss looks like he has potential but he has horrible fundamentals. When he sets a screen, he doesn't even put a body on a guy before he releases to the rim. He literally has no feel for the game at all.

This. Neither Melo and PJ are SFs on this team, and they are both getting more than 24 mpg apiece. So it's been a given in my mind that one or both would see minutes at the 5, just like Ryno last year.

Anyone see today's Chron article about the lineup with Melo at the 5 outscoring the Pacers 21-3? I totally did not pick up on that yesterday.

To provide context, it was a spell that the pacers were just bricking a lot without Oladipo in the game, and we had a lot of transition points as a result.

True, but there a lot of times when teams are going to play without a true center. Just like last year, our revised Tuckwagon line-up will feast during that time (Harden/Gordon/Ennis/Melo/Tucker). 6 or so minutes a game should be plenty of time to blitz and get out without our "mediums" getting beat up.

That’s why I want an experienced euro Center as Clint’s backup...someone who can set perfect screens and can give good passes from the post

Chriss is the most Capela like, but there is a big but, and this differentiates Capela from so many big men on offense. Capela has great hands and amazing touch around the basket. Something Dwight was so disappointing at. Chriss is more athletic than Capela and will flourish like never before in this style but he won't ever be Capela in those two areas. If he can just be 60 - 75% as good in those attributes as Capela, Chriss will have a very good tenure with the Rockets.

Still love Joey the most! Chriss is terrible, there were a couple of times on D when he didn't even try to switch and Oladipo just killed him, basically stepping into a wide open three off a pick. Just a brainless athlete, sad, what a waste.

Hartenstein has a great feel and you can already see over time his reads off the pick and roll will develop
