Since I'm here, I thought I'd start a thread for discussion. Fantastic weather so far and expected all week.
I like the chances for the US but I'm concerned about Mickelson. He's played like hot garbage for quite a while. If they can mitigate the damage he's capable of, they should be fine. That's awesome you're there for this.
Is it possible you're there in a rainbow Astros jersey? Just saw someone on tv sitting next to the green on 16.
My wife got to play golf with Kuchar at the Shark Shootout in 2010. He walked over to talk with her today. A very nice man.
Shame the experience was dampened a bit by the play of the US team but that's still an awesome thing you got to do.
While I would have preferred the US win, just being there was a good time. All the Europeans we hung around with were very pleasant (probably because of their dominance). More than likely we’ll go to Whistling Straits in 2020 and on to Rome in 2022. My main concern was getting from our hotel in Paris to and from the course. Most of the time things moved really smoothly and we spent about 1:15 in travel time. Walk to metro. Go a few stops to the train. About a 30 minute train ride to the shuttle bus. About a 30 minute shuttle to the course. No lines to get to security or ticket check. We had tickets to one of the clubs and it was about a 5 minute walk from the entrance. I did learn to like Affligem beer.
