Why dont tell your students not to say it. You think their freedom of speech is being taken away

    Don't you care about them?

Because me telling them not to say the pledge isn't freedom of speech. The fact that my students aren't forced to say the pledge means their freedom of speech isn't being taken away at all. Also they are in 2nd and 3rd grade.

    Whay don't YOU protest it

Why teach them anything at that age? They haven't started lesrning history?

I played George Washington in a third grade play.

Maybe in your personal your life your so called values aren't worth your job.

Im being personal it's stupid a teacher who says pledge every with no problem makes these arguments that people's jobs are more important than oath

They do learn history. Why would I protest it? Neither I nor my students are forced to say the pledge. The fact that we can say it or not say it at our leisure means our free speech isn't being violated. I wouldn't suffer any negative consequences from my job if I didn't say the pledge. I would still have my job.

You seem to have no idea that the problem isn't saying the pledge. The problem is when people are FORCED to say the pledge. Maybe this concept is foreign to you if you are from another country like Russia. But you might want to study the idea to understand what freedom of speech actually means.

Why is this 18 year old young lady considered uneducated as you say in your original post?

Actually, I'm not. Nobody in my system is being forced to. The system that I belong to isn't forcing anyone. I don't really have time to continue to address your misunderstanding.

I am part of an education system that doesn't force or demand anyone stand and say the pledge. I am not part of an education system that forces students to do this.

Right, but you used this young lady's situation to try and make your point. I don't get the connection between her refusing to stand and black youths and uneducated blacks.

I started this thread talking about perceived racism. The issue wasn't the pledge as much as her protest

I've explained to you that the school system I am a part of offers the pledge but nobody is required to say it. The problem is when schools try and force people to say the pledge.

Contrary to popular belief, or actually nobody's, literally all schools in the country are run in localized districts whose jurisdiction extends no farther than their own municipality.
