Wouldn't it be glorious if he didn't sign until right before training camp? How many more Melo threads would Clutchfans see? Every time he got on an airplane, was spotted in public anywhere, made a phone call, etc. this forum would freak out. It would be wonderful IMHO.
Melo don't want to look desperate and sign the same or next day he was waived... He want to control the narrative.. I wonder if the Rockets going to hold a big press conference
Me too. Good thing I’m not pretending to be coach of the team. In fact, I am advocating that the decision be in D’Antonia’s hands.
lmao if they take time out of their day to hold a big press conference for some dude who just cleared waivers
In terms of "timeline", I fully expect Carmelo to "officially announce" his intentions to sign with Houston via his Instagram and Twitter account. Then at some point he actually signs the paper. And then the Rockets twitter and Morey twitter make a post about welcoming him.
= cancer who never won anything and bonafide scrub now. He's a net subtraction by addition. We're better off convincing iverson to come out of retirement.
You just described a unanimously viewed cancerous player as a savior on the tail/washed up end of his career. Are you sure I’m the one you should be asking that too. The koolaid is strong : )
We will soon find out. One thing for sure, though: Both sides can't be right about him. One of us is going to have a f%$k-ton of egg on our face.
I just spoke to Prince Akeem of Zumunda, at the Game in Africa. He agreed Carmelo is a scrub now. But wanted everybody on clutch fans to know he is a Rockets Fan since the Dream Days....
Melo right now looks like an Eric Gordon level type player. A player who is up and down and has the ability to have a higher ceiling than a traditional role player. Players that are "consistent" in their high ceiling are all stars. The "inconsistency" is what limits players from being all star level. With Melo, they are betting on a high ceiling. But they also probably get a low floor. Whereas someone like Ariza has a low ceiling but high floor.
He carried a team to a national collegiate title and he was the leading scorer on one of the best Olympic teams in history winning a gold medal there. I guess he's never won anything though. Did I mention you're dumb?
And that Syracuse team was absolutely carried by Carmelo. It wasn't a loaded team, talent-wise, and Melo just put them on his back and took them to a title.
