In all seriousness, why are people even questioning whether or not this is going to happen?

Carmelo is signing here. There's absolutely no legitimate reason to believe otherwise.

    No worries, HP...
@JayZ750 told me Bron and Lakers have no interest...

"I mean, the Lakers could get Melo now. And it'd probably be 50/50 as to which team he'd pick. So that's still an option... if it was an option. But its not an option, because, yes, I honestly think Lebron doesn't want Melo on that Lakers squad.

    Why would he?"

and virtually nobody else does either - from what I'm told... lol

(no offense JayZ750... the last time I didn't quote the source of discussion I got called out... )

Melo has a history of screwing the Rockets over. I don't blame fans for not giving him the benefit of the doubt.

It's not like the season is close to starting and they're already working out together. Also too, if so, his family is more important and they come first. That's why there's an off season so players can spend time with their families. Fans used to be upset for feeling like Morey treats the players as "assets" but yall do the same thing. F*** rushing to sign a piece of paper if I'm in Africa w/ my famiy during the OFF season. If he didnt wan't to win the championship he'd sign w/ the Lakers.

The fact that everyone talks like he is already on the team makes me doubtful.

    Remember last year? Or Bosh?

Woj says Melo plans to sign here and everyone acts like it's a done deal.

multiple sports websites already have writeups on how Melo will fit with the Rockets as if it's a foregone conclusion he is going to sign.

Doing an Angelina Jolie type of good deed in Africa is indeed worth the wait. Slow signing.

    Play strong.

Ironically, I'm in Africa today as well. If things go well this afternoon we'll sign a deal larger than Melo's minimum. This was a long trip and the last 10-hours I had to share my seat with a 300 lb woman from Kentucky. I'm paying for the upgrade on the way back. Melo will sign, there is no rush and they probably want to do it during prime time next week.

So he is not coming this weekend?
Can't Moray just travel to Africa and sign the contract?
Or a contract signed in Africa is not legally valid in the US?
I can't take it anymore. Melo come herreeeeeeeeeeeeee.

Naw, it's him who isn't thinking of all of the internet people! Every minute he doesn't sign that paper, random people around the world are angsty and will waste electrons creating more and more threads!
