I don't think he would make the team better but we need a new option in place of Ariza. 3 ball dominant players on one team could lead to even more ISO ball.

People think of Melo and they think of scoring. Scoring means production and that should help us win games.

Just remember that Dwight Howard, another former star player with bad rep, was also producing respectable averages of 13+pts/10+reb/1+blk while on the Rockets.

For a small contract — absolutely. How does it hurt? No way CP let’s him affect the locker room. If he plays poorly, you don’t play him. Worst case; you cut him. For 3-5 mil when there isn’t really anyone with the potential upside, it would be foolish not to if the opportunity presents itself.

We aren’t offering the guy multi year double or triple digit contracts. It’s a one year deal at best for the MLE.

If not Melo, then who? Without a trade, how can we do anything else with the potential that a Melo signing has.

Bottom line the guy has been a performer in this league and is the best talent on the table for what we have to spend.

Every year it's the same damn thing.

Clutchfans during offseason: We need to sign Melo!
Clutchfans during regular season: Boy, Melo really sucks. Glad we dodged that bullet!
Clutchfans after playoffs: We need to sign Melo! He'll be better for us!

REPEAT (Is this the 5th? 6th time we've gone through this??)

You guys are like battered wives.

Aren't you the guy that still lives with his parents? Yeah I remember your loser ass

Lakers will win less games than Houston and we’re getting back to the WCF, sucka . You weren’t even 15 the last time the Lakers made the playoffs.

Reminder: Ryan Anderson is making $20 million per year going into year #3
Focus on that for a minute.

I've made my position on Melo clear before.

I think CP3 will get the best from him. At this point, all we can do is roll the dice. We're not getting Butler, We're not getting Kawhi, our best hope is to roll the dice and hope we get the best Melo we can get at this point.

At this point who else is out there that we can get that will be helpful to get us over the hump.
