First of all *uck the Lakers... if the Lakers sign PG and Lebron there goes the cap space for 2019. It appears Lebron is waiting to see if another superstar is joining LA before signing with them. Everyone is holding now waiting for someone to make a move. Lakers need for something to happen to convince James to sign

With that being said I don't care if they trade him to the Lakers as long as Ingram and Kuzma are involved. Some may say, wait till 2019 and don't give up anything... let's see how that plan works out with PG considering that is what LA bet last year... they may still miss out on PG and Lebron in 2018... kind of puts pressure on them to make a trade to ensure not losing KL in 2019.

Go to hell KL for undercutting the Spurs by announcing you won't sign anywhere other than LA next season... have a great career elsewhere and I hope your best days are behind you

Could be the next Dwight Howard.

Dwight, who had his own franchise to do whatever he liked, owned a city, only to go chase the bright lights in LA. We saw how that worked out.

Kawhi has to understand that the Lakers won't be his team. He'll be competing with whoever is left (Likely Lonzo) and the fans there will never love him like the Spurs fans would have (or still will if he just changes his mind)

There's actually a lot of players that go off chasing brighter lights in bigger markets. I mean it works from time to time, but sometimes when it doesn't it blows up in that players face.

    See Carmelo, See Dwight.

Hopefully Kawhi stays put along with PG13 and Lebron...then one of them signs with the Rockets in 2019 :p

If you told me though if I'd rather have Lebron right now or Kawhi in a year I'd go with Kawhi.

The Lebron window to start hearing noise is post draft, pre July 1. That's when the Houston scenario is viable.

My suggestion from a couple of years ago would nuke the superteam problem forever: Eliminate max contracts while keeping the salary cap.

Another option is raise the max to 50% or 60% of the salary cap.

If I was Pop I wouldn’t trade him

I’d tell him to go **** himself and make him sit on the bench the ENTIRE year and not play a single minute. Tell him to rest that quad for another season and then I’d retire when he’s a FA but I’m petty.

I hate that super stars and cry there way out of any team. I don’t even understand how spurs fans still support kawhi

Do they though? Just look few posts above lol

Anyway, that's the reality at this point, i get what you're saying as a fan, but if you're a gm, you cannot throw everything away and lose him for nothing.

Kawhi is not going to the Lakers

I don't know why people keep clinging to this pipe dream

You will see Kobe as a Laker before you see Kawhi as a Laker next year

Kawhi is such a ****ing POS.

I am really angry for the spurs, this dude is straight up lying at this point and has been collecting $ from the team that is paying him so he can goto the lakers. Way worse than KD

If they dont deal him,Send this fool to the G-league for rehab purposes.
They could always get peanuts at the deadline.

Best case scenario: They wait it out and are forced to deal him for garbage = spurs continue to crumble.

That’s a non starter for San Antonio - and Cleveland doesn’t have much else to give

For real? I’d easily take Kuzma and Ingram from the Lakers over that.

Lol Lebron already proved "chasing bright lights" is so 90s. It's just dumb. Lebron has played in Cleveland but he is the biggest star since Jordan, even the championship didnt generate as much buzz as the decision 2.0.

Secondly Kawhi is going down tge path of Grant Hill and Shawn Kemp. The dude had so much rest the past two years yet still ended up injured the past two years. He needs to go to GSW and have whatever Steph Curry is having.
