Great ****ing slide, Kemp! He's really good, reminds me of Donaldson, but this is not his finest hour. I had one popup try to kill me when I was 16 or so. About 3PM in Game 2 of a Saturday tournament in June, playing 3B, I saw it off the bat, go over toward the dugout, and then I realize I am staring straight up into the sun. All I could do was think to myself "please don't let it hit me in the face, please don't let it hit me in the face..." It hit the heel of my glove and went straight into my mouth, chipped 2 teeth and split the hell out of my lower lip. Coach put a strip of tape on my lip and sent my right back out.
Damn, that's a tough hit to concede there. I was hoping this game would end with Verlander lowering his ERA, but not now.
on another note, that "man" and I lose that term very loosely, that got this homer and McCann's, runs like he has a severe mental incapacitation.
