I agree but you need a balance, 1 on future development and 1 on winning now. The Lou trade and the Cp3 trades were done with an emphasis on winning now. Considering the quality of player you are getting back it is well worth the value of a late 1st round pick.

The Rox have had multiple late 1st round picks and only Capela has turned into a star, so you can't use his example to make a point Capela is an outlier and not what you normally get for a late first rounder. 90% of late first rounder end up as fodder and are out of the league when their rookie deals expire.

Capela is gonna go down in history as the best draft Morey has done, his improvement year by year is ridiculous he goes up a level from can't play in year 1, back up in year 2, starter year 3 now he is an all star in year 4. He has also saved Harden's era in houston because we don't have ebough money to pay a big yet here he is making rookie salary going toe to toe with Gobert.

Rox need to ensure to keep him cuz Jordan on a discount still isn't as good as Capela.

Ever thought about getting your eyes checked? There seems to be a cataract preventing your eyes and brain from making a feasible connection regarding basketball evaluation. What weaknesses are Harden and Paul protecting Clint from as he defends guards one on one at the perimeter and shuts them down? Paul and Harden are not the reason Gobert is getting OWNED either. Paul and Harden are not the reason for Capella making defensive strides. I can definitely give Harden and Paul credit for Capella's offense as it is tailored around feeds from those guys. But on defense? You are WAAAAAY off.

20/15 in both eyes. Still an 80% FT shooter. Splash.

Give the 50 year old a break.

He can't be wrong, am I right?

Because if he was wrong, he would have nothing to do and his genius takes would be waste on this board.

You keep going there young man, I am older than you, and we old dues need to stick together, right.

We should have never let DH go, right.

Anyways, stay strong and who cares what others think, Cap is no good, cannot play d.

Why did they waste a pick on him?

Leave Holic alone! If he still won’t say he was wrong then he probably never will.

Easy to say those things in retrospect. At the time, turning Brewer into an all-star type guard had potential championship implications.

Disagree with the Jordan take. I would take him on discount if cappella gets crazy in free agency.

at least your memory is intact. you remember where the basket is relative to the free throw line, but i doubt you can see it.

    Time to man up, @basketballholic.

In these playoffs, Capela has dominated the paint against an All-Star center and the likely DPOY.

As simply as I can put it:

    YOU

    WERE

    WRONG

Clint Capella is lookin like your daddy out there, son. Another fantastic performance to counter your delusional evaluations. How much crow can one boy possibly eat? For that answer, check in with basbetballholic.

Clint Capela has played the two best games defensively I've ever seen him play. In the playoffs, and on the road no less. That speaks volumes to me. I'm very happy. Absolutely no complaints. All good.

Take it all the way big fella. Continue to prove me wrong.
