Definitely. Imagine if I killed a couple people because I refused to clean up my disease ridden facilities and then tried to pretend it didn't happen. Ho boy, Loserville, USA.
Vanilla I guess for Blue Bell .. But if you're ever in the UP (upper Michigan), https://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUse..._Farm-Marquette_Upper_Peninsula_Michigan.html is the best ice cream I've had. The best flavor is Mackinac Island Peanut Butter Fudge Ice Cream... I've seriously considered getting this shipped to Texas.

Ice Cream Cone, came here to post this. Also Homemade Vanilla. Also Birthday cake. Also Blue Bell is the shiznit
Born and raised in H-town, visited Blue Bell when I was a kid, and count me as another one who just doesn't understand the hype. There's SO much better ice cream out there. Drive through New England some time.........every little pissant town has some little ice cream shop selling something better. At least we have Tex-Mex.
Strawberries and cream has always been my favorite. Homemade Vanilla is a classic, good on hot pie/cobbler. Vanilla bean is also a staple. Lately, I've been loving Talenti Gelato. Their mango sorbet, vanilla caramel swirl, vanilla apple pie. Good stuff.
i grew up on blue bell. i was a loyal customer and even had a freaking t-shirt! but when they killed people due to their own laziness and malfeasance i vowed to never eat that crap again. loyalty is a two way street and i dont know how anyone could ever trust that company again. im not saying you deserve to die if you eat blue bell, but you probably should have known better. also, i started eating hagen-das and realized how much better ice cream is when they dont use high fructose corn syrup. blue bell is nasty...break your conditioning texans!!! we have better options!
Seriously Texas. You have Brisket. You have Whataburger. You have Tex-Mex. Your ice cream is garbage. The Kroger brand is superior to Blue Bell. You can't win em all.
Sure, i'll play. Your "facilities?" Did you create a product that millions of people love? Yes, Blue Bell was irresponsible and let their facilities get into bad shape. It is a damn shame that some people got sick from it. Three people lost their lives. Was that directly from Blue Bell? Questionable. Blue Bell took a lot of heat for it. Instead of laying down and dying, they heard the overwhelming support and got their great product back to the world. Good for them. I would assume such a public company is now very careful with their cleanliness standards after such an incident. No need to live in the past and deprive millions from a beloved treat. Anyway... It's a tie for me between Cookies n Cream and CCCD.
Never had Blue Bell but for me I’m pretty sure it won’t beat Haagen Dazs. If you guys ever visit Portland you nead some Salt & Straw in your life. Maybe if you have money to burn and or just love ice cream you can have it delivered. Looks like they opened up some other locations as well. https://saltandstraw.com
Just curious...how is it questionable that it was Blue Bell when it was their ice cream made in their facility that showed to have listeria multiple times?
Blue Bell The Great Divide homemade vanilla and dutch chocolate But I buy the HEB brand because it's cheaper.
They knew about the contamination and didn't resolve the issue. They knowingly put lives at risk. But ooh boy watery ice cream yum yum come and take it pew pew.
