Right up there as one of my all-time favorites. RIP Maybe my memory is hazy but I seem to recall he'd do those old prime time baseball games with Howard Cosell and Joe Garagiola. Legendary broadcaster Keith Jackson dies at age 89
voice of college football Here's a sample of Keith in his "prime" in 1980. Just have to listen to the pre-game to remember how great his voice was.
My brothers and I used to impersonate this call all the time. "It went out of here at abooout threeee hundred and ninety-nine feet." I can't forget his call of Billy Hatcher's home run too. And of course the 2005 NCAA championship game. "4th and 5, the national championship on the line right here..."
Bc I started another more aptly titled and sectioned thread here; http://bbs.clutchfans.net/index.php?threads/no-nellie-keith-jackson-rip.287648/
I've got nothing to say. He was the voice of not just college football, but sports of all kind for a ton of my life. You can youtube "Keith Jackson" and listen to a ton of him calling various sports.
