Michael Jordan , in this era, with Mike D'Antoni would average 40+ points a game and he would play elite defense and send the team to the finals

Harden with the Bulls, in the Bulls era with hand checks and playing against Detroit with the Jordan Rules, would have a difficult time make the conference finals

Harden doesn't get charged a shot attempt on his crazy drives to the hoop where he gets fouled and misses. That's like 700 times a game stat boy.

Harden would have a terrible performance at home against a Spurs team without Khawi Leonard and Tony Parker
    in a playoff elimination game

    Oh, that really did happen.

I guess we have do something drastic like getting another guard so that won't happen again

maybe we should get Chris Paul

M Jordan was notorious for being fouled by anyone within a mile....non-stat boy

When team USA we’re taking a team photo, the photographer asked Magic Johnson to get a little closer to Jordan.

Magic replied, that he couldn’t get too close......might pick up a foul.

Jordan replied, you haven’t been called for a foul in over 10 years.

    ——Something to that nature——

Refs often reward drivers to the rim. For entertainment purposes. Avoid stagnation.

    Jordan....................8.2 FTA/game for career
    LeBron James........8.2 FTA/game for career
    Harden....................8.2 FTA/game for career
    Iverson....................8.9 FTA/game for career

Edited: Giannis Antetokounmpo this year (9.2 FTA/game...probably will be more as his career continues)

Don’t hate the player......hate the game

It’s often tough comparing differing eras. I tend to restrain from doing so.

Just an FYI: players couldn’t leave their man for more than a foot or risk being called for a technical.
Zone rule changed around 2001. Jordan DRtg went up to 105.....then 103. Grant it, it was his final days.
One thing to consider is Longley, Cartwright, Stacey King, Perdue etc would be put on an island on the perimeter....
Jordan would have to cover more territory in rotations. This is what I meant by greater spacing increasing a DRtg.

Guy like Dennis Rodman would be left unguarded like Sefolosha or Andre Roberson are left unguarded.
Defensive coaches have used the zone in their favor nowadays. This is one reason the triangle-offense
struggles nowadays. It can still work with the 3-point line extended. So yes Jordan would get 40 points a game
with 3-point shooters providing space........but without the spacing teams would double Jordan early getting
the ball out of his hands.

Different eras man. Olajuwon with these 3-Point shooters nowadays would kill it. Without spacing.....doubled
    and tripled early.

Edited: so is anyone saying that Harden couldn’t score 40 a game if he shot 27 FGA’s a game?

Jordan is better than harden on:

    offense
    defense
    clutch
    winning when it matters
    hurting other HOF's feelings
    global influence
    looks
    having better jersey & shoes

Also have a teammate called Dickey Simpkins that is worse than ryan anderson...whatever that means

thanks for the laugh to start the weekend

One of Jordan's best asset is trash talking. I guarantee you that none of the current NBA player could handle Jordan's way of getting these players mind. I'm sure there is a reason G.Payton (as Sonics), Karl Malone, John Stockton, Charles Barkley, Dominque Wilkins, Patrick Ewing, Reggie Miller and Clyde Drexler (as Blazers) are ringless. Some of the HOFs aren't trash talkers, but mentally Jordan is the best ever. All these sensitive NBA players would crack when Jordan speaks. He would talk during the game about let's have lunch, then he would use that to dunk on the guy. Or he would smile at you then steal your ball. The best is off-the court he would be the best friend (Ewing) then during games, he would have no mercy. Harden is my #1 over Jordan as a Rockets fan. As a NBA fan, Jordan Rules.

Ryan Anderson channelled his inner Jordan and posterized Suns big.

when i watch this game theres no doubt in my mind harden would be most skilled man on that court, put him on any of the 2 teams and they win the game

pls watch the game and tell me harden wouldnt be the best player on the court...they wouldn't even knew what hit em!

Harden wouldn't be the best player on the court, I don't even have to watch. His feet are rooted to the floor. Never moves them, has like a 3" vert, NEXT...
