What is the metric? Who's the second and third best?

Would be more informative to actually present the stats rather than tweet out a statement like that.

From an article he posted yesterday:

    https://sports.vice.com/en_us/artic...art-the-merciless-rockets-and-a-fultz-do-over

Try and read this sentence out loud without taking a breath: Harden currently leads the league in points (per game average and total), assists (per game average, rate, and total), threes, free-throw attempts and makes, usage, Win Shares per 48 minutes, and Real Plus-Minus. He’s a one-man avalanche off a high screen and has unofficially made more “there’s nothing we could do” baskets than anyone in the league. It’s getting to the point where I could list half a dozen fake stats about Harden’s season and you’d have to believe them all. Like, he’s launching 11 threes a night and making over 40 percent of them. How is that real?

Hmmm, maybe this is one of them? :)

He’s also 16th in the league in steals....he still takes those reach in from behind after his guy goes past him swipes...........but he’s in great shape and is really putting effort into it. But the defensive coach really helps by having the help side defense always coming hard to rush in and help.(usually Ariza and Capela)What I’m really impressed with is his and all our gaurds low post defense.

    haha

The world of data gets turned upside-down after Fizdale gets fired.
We need to hire him for one day, just to present those stats at a post-game presser.

No data? No ranking? No basis of stats or reasoning why he is?

Seems a bit “contrarian” and lacking of evidence.

Nah I dont think it's fake. Not sure what the min. Iso possessions but he's holding people to 25%fg and 25%efg on 1.2 iso possessions per game. I'd guess that's close to the top at least

On 1.2 iso defensive possessions per game, harden is holding opponents to 25%fg and 25%efg. It's available on NBA.com

Not at all. If it said "best isolation offensive player in the NBA" I'd happily accept it without question. That fits in with all the other numbers I've seen and passes the eye test.

"Best isolation defender" is surprising, so I'd like to know more about what the stat actually is measuring. Is it just noise, or is there something real there where this is actually an informative data point?

Should have traded him for Carmelo while we still had the chance.
