His contract is unobtainable by us without a buyout, and I do not want to trade Clint for him. Its either buy out then sign cheap, or nothing at all. And even then I'd rather have him on the bench. Clint has earned his keep as a starter

    +offensive rebounding
    +motor
    +rim protection
Sucks the salaries are so far apart. He's shooting 60% from the line this season as well.

    +rim protection?

His rim protection has become pathetic.

It all comes down to $$$ though. If Jordan signs for like 7M a year then ok he can replace Clint. Otherwise its better to keep Clint because Rox are capped out and the 4rth oldest team in the league.

DJ to OKC for Alex Abrines and a half smoked Phillie blunt found on the steps outside the arena.

Silver already said that due to the circumstances salary cap issues will be waived.

In a buyout situation I’d be thrilled beyond belief to have him.

In a trade I don’t see a way for this to make sense for us

Decent replacement if we lose Capela in the offseason to RFA, but I'd rather just match Clint's contract since he's younger. I don't think we'd be able to get Deandre Jordan to take that big a paycut.

    No
No way it’ll happen. Morey likes 2 things
    1. Flexability
    2. Chemistry
Anderson and Capela for Deandre would hurt spacing and losing a shooter like Anderson would really hurt the offense. Capelas ceiling is higher than Deandre in his prime right now.
Let Deandre walk to Washington or Cleveland.

Treat this like Melo drama. If u wanna come get bought out then we can add u off the bench

Way too much turnover for a team that is rolling. Also, I dont see much of an actual upgrade.

Jordan in a pick and roll with harden is lethal and his rebounding and defense is better but clint is younger and shoots better free throws but we get beat up by bigger centers so I'm in for Jordan

It isn’t going to happen unless through a buyout, and even then some team ‘might’ claim him.

Capela is younger, and offers the same production, the fact that you’d have to ship Ryno out as well makes it a nono.

If he were bought out, the fix is easy, start him every quarter, then when the 6 minute or ‘hack mark’ (i.e. ‘Bonus’) happens, Capela replaces him, and boom, no Hack-a-Big.

But then again, Nene is a tripod, and I’m quite content with that.

No way, Popavich will send him to the line and foul him the whole second half.

If those 3 were you would probably only have 2 of them for the playoffs. One will probably get hurt.

But this guy in a buyout. I would say then the rockets really could give the Warriors a run. Zaza and Green would not have a fun series that’s for sure.
