... for Juwan Howard I'm going to puke:

    From Hoops TV:
GRANT LEAVES AND GOES TO ?????: Forget about Chicago. No young NBA superstar with half a brain would want to go to the Bulls now, not with MJ’s aura still glowing so brightly. But that doesn’t mean playing in His Airness’ shadow is out of the question. Another source says Hill will play next season for Jordan’s Wizards in the District of Corruption. How might this happen? One source tells us that Jordan is ready to put together a sign-and-trade deal with the Pistons that would give Detroit Juwan Howard. Now that Howard is out of the base-compensation years in his monstrous $105 million deal, he is easier to trade. And if Hill is in the muscle-flexing mood, he can simply tell the Pistons either do this sign-and-trade deal or lose him outright.

I hear ya... but it will make MJ look like a genius and it's a very good start (unloading Howard for Grant Hill? My goodness... lets hope this is what I think it is: fantasy talk)

Why would Grant want to go to Washington? They would still be capped strapped amd Hill wants to go to a team where he can win. I've heard Rumors about him signing in SA w/ Duncan for a short term contract.
I don't think Grant would do a sign & trade to Washington, and I'm not even sure if he will do a sign and trade at all. He doesn't really owe Detroit anything, but I suppose if he could benefit financially he would agree to a sign and trade.

On the picks that we are "owed" over the next few years, when do the teams have to decide? Is there a deadline? Do they have to decide by the start of the draft? Or can they simply get to their turn, and say, "The players left in this draft are sorry, so you can have our pick now."?

Would Detroit want to fill up cap space with
J Howard? Wouldn't Detroit be better off letting Hill walk for nothing than get stuck with Howard?

Remember, if Detroit is awful the next few years, WE get their pick.....I don't think anyone will be complaining over Rashard Lewis if we turn Mirsad Turksan into a top 3 pick....

I just can't see this happening. I would rather let Grant leave without getting anything in return.

In fact, nothing would be considered compensation in my book if you are speaking in regard to choosing between Juwan and nothing.

I would not want Jordan looking like some sort of genius, either. I wouldn't be able to take that...

Hey- are you sure about that pick?

I would hate to be either Detroit or Washington; however, Detroit can at least offer up Hill for a gazillion first rounders from Orlando.

Let's see, Washington has hmmm... Mitch and Rod and Juwan taking up $40M *yummmiieeee*. The one team that would have taken Rod 'the whiner' is getting good play from Childs and Ward. Abe's biggest feat is to convince Jordan to take over, b/c that club is in shambles. Their great play at the end of the year was due to a rookie... which is great, but what happens when he demands the same stupid contracts his predecessors have gotten?

MJ, why didn't you just ask Stern to force Sterling to sell?
