Watching the pre-game show while i work - the amount of Yankee coverage is ridiculously annoying. I usually dont complain about national coverage of Houston sports simply cuz I dont expect it, but they had a 30 second segment interviewing Springer about McCullers and the rest has been all Yankee talk.

    Super annoying.

Hope the Astros whoop up on the Yanks.

Maybe mathematically. But emotionally, letting NY back in this one could spell our doom.

I really don't know why you go with McCullers over Peacock here but Hinch has pushed all the right buttons so f....., no seriously why is McCullers starting over Peacock?

No More Morton... granted the choice is better than choosing between Feldman and Fiers...

The bit they did on why the Yankees give the thumbs down gesture was pretty funny actually

My only thought— the plan is to use both. Lance seems very precocious and isn’t use to the pen, and so giving him clear certainty as to when he starts today means you’ll get better innings from him. Get 4 or 5 from him if you ca , and then let Peacock fly.

Puts both (as a whole) in more familiar roles.

I expect LMJ to be on a really short leash. Wouldn't surprise me if Peacock logs more innings than LMJ in this one.

Didn't McCullers do a better job pitching in the ALDS than Peacock?

Morton pitched well last night. He was burned with dinks and dunks and a home run on a pitch that should not be hit for a home run.

Yankees don't like the curveball. LMJ threw the curve >50% of the time in regular season. Say what you want, but LMJ's curveball is still working (35% of time missed, and 80% of time on ground when put in play against the Red Sox). Against Sox, he threw it 65% of the time.

Per a Fangraphs article today, he has stopped throwing his 4 seamer and his changeup....pitches the Yankees like and basically the pitches that McCullers sucks at (he does throw a wicked change every now and then, but it is rare).

I've never been more pressed to see how a leadoff at bat goes than Springer right now. He has got to get his mind right.

Depends on offense and LMJ. I'm thinking LMJ only goes past 4 if things go really bad or really good. If things are close, Peacock in around 4-5th would be my guess with Musgrove and Giles for the kill.

Damn Carlos is only 1-14 against Sonny. Gonna need some playoff magic from his bat today. I fully expect Altuve to bounce back so Carlos is gonna need to drive in those runs

Hinch has failed us if he allows LMJ to stay in long enough to get really bad.
